Transcript:
(00:00) I was surprised to find out that only 2% of LinkedIn users have ever published an article on the platform. In this video, I’m going to share with you the ultimate strategy for LinkedIn content marketing. Hi, I’m Chris and I’ve been using LinkedIn LinkedIn since LinkedIn started being LinkedIn to generate leads for my business, and I’ve taught thousands of entrepreneurs how to do the same.
(00:23) The best part about LinkedIn is that there are 800 million users and many of them are actively looking for exactly what you have to offer. And today I’m going to show you how to use content marketing on LinkedIn so that you can get more followers, get more connections, find more prospects, and ultimately get more clients to grow your business.
(00:43) There are many different types of content that you can create on the LinkedIn platform. These include posts, text only posts, image only posts, native video, live video articles, newsletters, carousel posts, and more. And the ultimate strategy for LinkedIn content marketing is to know what kind of content to use where so that your perfect prospects receive it and step out of the shadows wanting to work with you.
(01:09) And as we get into this, I have a question for you. What type of content do you typically create on LinkedIn? Do you always create posts? Are you always uploading videos? Let me know in the comments below your favorite type of content to create on LinkedIn. Let’s start with LinkedIn posts. Linkedin relies on people like you to create content and have a steady flow of information on the platform to keep other people coming onto the social site and staying there to consume the content.
(01:37) It’s important to remember that LinkedIn posts have a shelf life. They’re going to go by in people’s news feeds and they might only see them for a short period of time. So we want to share content that also has a shelf life. This might be news or a quick tip or a trick, some sort of industry information, or maybe you want to teach something very quickly.
(01:57) It could also be used for updates things that are happening to you in your business or in your life as it relates to your business. All of these things work very well in posts. Each of these is going to serve a very specific purpose. The picture plus text is going to stop people while they’re scrolling because they see the picture and then they’re going to read the text.
(02:17) I recommend keeping text only posts very short so that people see just a few words and they read them without having the picture to capture their attention. And then an image only post that has very little text should make a big impact on the viewer so that they’re scrolling and it just makes them stop in their tracks and see what that picture is about.
(02:38) Next up, we have LinkedIn articles. I was surprised to find out that only zero 2% of LinkedIn users have ever published an article on the platform. Yet LinkedIn articles are one of the most powerful ways to create content on LinkedIn. You can think of a LinkedIn article as like a blog post, something that is more long form, more indepth, and that goes deep into a subject.
(03:02) Linkedin articles are a great way to demonstrate your expertise and your authority, as well as build trust with your audience. My favorite thing about LinkedIn articles is that they are indexed within LinkedIn Search, so people that are not connected with you can find this content when they’re searching for it.
(03:20) And Google will also index LinkedIn articles. So your articles, much like your blog posts, will appear inside of Google Search, as well as an additional bonus, if you’ve designated yourself a LinkedIn creator, you can take your LinkedIn articles and turn them into newsletters. This means that all of your followers, all of your connections can subscribe to your LinkedIn articles, and every time you publish a new one, they get an alert and they get that article delivered right to their newsfeed.
(03:49) I publish a LinkedIn article as a newsletter once a week where I share more information like this. If you’d like to get access to that, you can Google my name and you’ll find LinkedIn right at the top. Or you can find me on LinkedIn and make a connection with me, and I’ll make sure that you get access to that newsletter.
(04:05) Let’s talk about native video on LinkedIn. Here’s what I mean by native video. This is where you’re actually uploading a video to the platform. Native video is not sharing a link to a video that exists somewhere else, like on YouTube. You’re actually uploading a video into LinkedIn. Linkedin has become the Goto platform for entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and other professionals to showcase their skills, demonstrate their expertise and their authority in what they do, and video is the perfect way to do that.
(04:36) Using video on LinkedIn is a captivating, intriguing, and magnetic way to get your perfect prospect to engage with you and your content. Moreover, they’ll get to know you because they’re seeing you and they’re hearing you talk about what you do. Loading a video directly to LinkedIn will allow it to play right inside of the news feed.
(04:58) That’s so important because as people are browsing through the platform, they’ll be able to click and play without having to leave LinkedIn. And that’s very important to remember. You can create many different types of videos, from introduction videos to teaching videos like this one, or videos where you showcase your services and perhaps even show a testimonial from one of your clients.
(05:19) One of the most underused types of content on LinkedIn is the Carousel post. In fact, most people don’t even know it exists. In a Carousel post, you upload a PDF or a presentation like from PowerPoint, and users are able to go through the slides right inside the post. The possibilities with carousel posts are practically endless.
(05:42) You can showcase a list you can upload a presentation from a talk that you gave. You can teach something in multiple steps. There are so many different things you can use with carousel posts and all you have to do is upload a PDF or a PowerPoint presentation into one of your posts. I’d like to teach you a STEPBYSTEP process for getting more clients from LinkedIn posts.
(06:07) So that’s the very next training that I’m going to make. Once I make it, I’m going to put the link to that right here. In the meantime, you can subscribe to this channel so that you get notifications. Every time I create a video like this about getting new clients into your business. I’ll see you in the very next training. Bye.

The post The ULTIMATE STRATEGY for LinkedIn Content Marketing Step by Step first appeared on Social Marketing Associates.

Transcript:
(00:00) For the past four years I’ve been using an incredibly simple 6-step marketing funnel to convert new leads into paying customers. This funnel is so simple and effective, and yes it has made me millions of dollars and I’m about to share the whole thing with you. So keep watching. Hey, posse, what’s up? It’s Alex coming at you this week with a video to help you capture and convert more customers in your business.
(00:31) If you’re new to the crew, welcome make sure to subscribe below and don’t forget to hit that bell to be notified when my next tutorial goes live. Now, first things first, let’s talk about what a funnel actually is because it is a word you hear a lot in the marketing world. So a funnel is simply referring to the journey a newly takes as they interact with your brand, as they move from being completely unaware of you and what you offer at the top of the funnel moving all the way to the bottom of the funnel where they hopefully become paying
(00:59) and repeat customers. And it’s the touchpoints between that make up the structure or framework of your funnel. And it goes without saying that there are a ton of different frameworks you can follow. Funnels can be simple and they can be complex with different upsells and downsell pathways and fancy segmentation and retargeting campaigns and all of that jazz.
(01:18) But that is not the type of funnel that we’re gonna talk about today. For the first four years of my business, I used a very very simple sales funnel, like I mean dead simple. And I was able to generate over a million dollars in my first year from it. And I’m literally just now starting to build out my funnels into more complex structures.
(01:35) And this leads me to the biggest misconception in marketing today that if you wanna grow, you need a fancy funnel. The number of times I’ve heard people say I need to fix my funnel, or my funnel isn’t working or I need a new funnel funnel, funnel funnel. And yes, at the end of the day while your marketing funnel is important, it’s the messaging behind the marketing that makes the biggest impact.
(01:54) So if your funnel isn’t working it’s because your messaging is falling flat. So fix that and you can have one very simple funnel that your entire business is based on because that is exactly what I did. So with that, let me show you this super simple six step funnel that has made me millions of dollars.
(02:11) So step one, traffic. The number one goal at the very top of your marketing funnel is to get attention aka more eyeballs on your stuff. We call this impressions or views in the marketing world. And then converting those views into clicks which is what we call traffic. There are many different ways that you can go about getting traffic to your content or to your website organic traffic via seo, content marketing, social media affiliate marketing, sponsored traffic, or paid ads.
(02:37) Now, if you’re thinking, oh, great I already can’t do this because I cannot afford to run ads let me stop you right there, because you do not have to run paid ads in order to use this funnel. The reality is it’s not realistic for many brands and businesses out there to run ads when they’re just starting out because many don’t have the budget to actually pay for that media right away.
(02:55) So if that’s you don’t stress, don’t worry. This funnel can still work extremely well for for you. And in the first year of my business I actually didn’t spend a single cent on paid ads. I built my business 100% organically via my social channels and YouTube videos like this one. And anytime and every time it made sense I would promote a lead magnet and drive people to my site to sign up for my email list.
(03:14) Which leads me to step number two landing page. So once you’ve got some eyeballs on your stuff it’s time to turn those lurkers into leads. Your goal is to get them to go one step further with you so you can continue to build that relationship with them and move them through your funnel. Now, it’s gonna be really rare for someone to buy from you if they literally just discovered who you are.
(03:32) So instead of asking them to buy right away you wanna get them to make what’s called a micro-commitment. And the best way to do this is to invite them to join your email list. But hey, we all know that “Join my email list” isn’t the most compelling call to action. You gotta offer them something valuable in exchange for their email address, which leads me to the next component you need in your funnel.
(03:51) Number three, a high value lead magnet. So your goal with the lead magnet is to give away something highly valuable for free. That’s why I’m drawing this as a pot of gold right here because it has got to be good. You really wanna make sure this is something that will move them closer to their desired goal and needs to solve a problem and offer next steps that invites them, yes to go deeper into the funnel and deeper with your brand.
(04:14) Now, I have an entire tutorial breaking down my lead magnet formula and I will link to that in the description box below. But just to give you a quick idea your lead magnet could be anything from a checklist a cheatsheet, a guide, a webinar a workshop, a masterclass, you name it. And of course, in order to access the lead magnet they need to input their email address which will then deliver the lead magnet to their inbox.
(04:35) And voila, you have a new lead on your email list. Now it’s time for them to drop into the next component of your funnel, which is step four indoctrination emails. So once you’ve got that fresh lead on your email list you can begin the process of nurturing them through a series of emails often referred to as indoctrination emails or welcome emails.
(04:52) Now, the purpose of these emails are to build up more desire and awareness and trust by providing valuable and relevant content. Yes, more value people. We need to give the people value. So instead of hard selling, your primary goal with these emails is to educate your prospects on who you are and why you’re uniquely qualified to help them.
(05:10) This is a great time to share who you are what you stand for, and most importantly that you understand them and their unique challenges and obstacles. And again, just like the lead magnet I have a full tutorial dedicated to breaking down my 3-step indoctrination formula. So if you wanna get more help on that step you can find a link to that in the description box below.
(05:28) Alright, now after you’ve indoctrinated your leads with some amazing, amazing welcome emails you can move them into the next step of your funnel which is step number five, sales emails. Okay, so up until now you haven’t really directly made an offer, right? But you’ve been seating the sale in your welcome emails and offering them a ton of free value education and tips to help them solve their biggest pain point.
(05:48) Now it’s time to let them know that you have something to offer them that will make solving their pain point easier, faster or better than if they were to do it all alone. And this is where sales emails come in. So I recommend sending a minimum of 6 sales emails including one to introduce your product and offer.
(06:03) One to educate on the benefits of how it can help your audience. One to showcase social proof and build authority. One to stack the value. One to overcome objections. And finally, one to convey incentive and scarcity. Now, all of these emails will have a call to action or button that will link directly back to the final part of your sales funnel where they will hopefully convert and buy from you.
(06:24) And that is step number six, a sales page. So this is where you present them with your amazing offer and turn their interest into desire. And then of course, action. Now, yes, this is the big one that most brands and businesses are focused on getting right, simply because this is the page that actually sells the product or service AKA where you finally make some money.
(06:43) And listen, there are tons and tons of sales page formulas that you can find online but over my decade of experience in the marketing world I have found this 10 step formula to be the winner time and time again. Now, this quick checklist includes 10 conversion triggers that I always look for when reviewing copy to build trust boost authority, and ignite sales.
(07:00) And you can grab your free copy of this checklist in just a second. Alright. And there you have it, A simple funnel that has made meet millions of dollars, traffic, landing page high value lead magnet, indoctrination emails, sales emails, and of course, your sales page. So if you are ready to take all of this knowledge from tactical to practical, then make sure to check out my 8-week copywriting coaching program the Copy Posse Launch Files.
So you’ll find the link to get started right away in the description box below and you’ll find the link to my hot offer checklist in just a second at the end of this video.

Transcript:
(00:00) if you want to know which types of reels get the most amount of views with the least amount of work then you gotta watch this video Let’s dive into it the first type of reel to post that will get you a ton of views with barely any work at all is to repost your past top performing content it is so simple that it actually sounds stupid but listen up we actually had this post that went semi-viral about six months ago and we decided half a year later to repost the exact same content same sound same video maybe different caption and a different
(00:31) cover banner and we notice that after reposting it that post outperformed our typical content pieces so what can you learn from this well good content is good content and the thing that you should know about algorithms is that when you put content on platforms like Tick Tock and Instagram the content depreciates pretty fast kind of like a car the moment that you post it after a few days after a few weeks you’re going to get less and less views over time and that content piece will no longer resurface this is very very specific to
(01:01) algorithms like Tick Tock and Instagram and so to make the most out of the content that you put so much effort in every six months or so do an evaluation on your past top performing content pieces and see which ones you’re willing to repost so that you can test and see whether or not it will still drive growth to your account in our case this post still outperformed our typical content pieces even though it’s not necessarily a new piece of content and if anything this type of post is actually driving growth into our account
(01:31) and the best part is is that I didn’t have to do any work in order to repost it other than actually reposting it to my page and so if you are sitting on a lot of content pieces that have performed well in the past this is your encouragement to resurface those posts and see if you’re still able to squeeze as much lice out of them as you can the second type of reel to create that will get you a ton of views with barely any work is to do remixes what this means is when you see a Content Creator’s post that’s doing pretty well
(02:01) you want to hit those three dots and see if you have the ability to remix that post remixing basically means that you’re able to react to that post and so for example I saw that Erica culber created this post where she revealed the amount of money that she made on each social media platform that post alone for her did extremely well and I thought the content piece would be really valuable to my audience and so instead of recreating my own version I simply remixed it and I filmed my reaction watching this video and then I shared it
(02:31) to my audience to my surprise this posted incredibly well if anything it actually outperformed a lot of the content pieces that I usually do and the best part is is that I did not even have to create any content other than filming myself watching the video and it was the easiest content piece that I’ve ever created in my entire life other than my first tip which was reposting previous content and one of the best things about this strategy is for any content piece that you find fascinating your audience will likely find fascinating as well and
(03:04) so if you’re able to share the content that you’re enjoying with your audience while still be able to rack up the views and comments for your own account if you look at my posts we not only got tons of views but we also got tons of likes and tons of comments as well outperforming my typical content pieces and so if you notice that there’s a Content piece within your Niche that’s going viral or that’s doing really well instead of trying to recreate it for yourself or instead of trying to copy that Creator
(03:31) just simply see if that creator has the remix feature turned on and see if you can actually remix their post you’re going to be able to capitalize on their viral content and get tons of views and reach for yourself the next type of reel that can get you a lot of views with not that much effort is compilation reels what it looks like is you find a trending song A trending audio piece or an inspirational audio piece and then you basically have a ton of videos and a ton of photos that you compile to create the content it looks
(04:02) something like this and what I love about it is that you don’t have to talk you don’t have to dance you don’t really have to film yourself doing anything if you have a lot of past content videos photos and whatever that you can put together that’s already the content and all it takes is for that reel to go viral because of the audio that you used now obviously this might take a little bit of research as you go through the reels explore page and find good audio but overall these are pretty easy to
(04:29) create and Instagram has actually made it a lot easier for you by creating the reels template feature what you have to do is you go into your reels Explorer page click on that camera button so you create the reels and then hit templates you’re able to scroll an archive of trending sound sounds where you can actually have a template on how to create the video Once you click that template it will show you the exact time stamps that you can put your Clips in all you have to do is Select those clips and it’ll automatically put those within
(04:56) those timestamps and you’re going to have a fully created content piece I’ve done these myself and they have done extremely well and they are so simple to create so if you want to save time and also get a lot of views then make sure you take advantage of the reels template feature moving on to the next type of reel that’s extremely easy to create is green screen reels what this looks like is you want to go into your archive and look at any quote post or Carousel posts that performed really well in the past
(05:25) and then what you’re going to want to do is when you create your reel you’re going to want to select the green screen button so that you can create content like this where maybe you are reading off past performing content that was in a carousel format or in a quote format I have done this and it’s done pretty well for my account and the best part is is that it doesn’t take a lot of work because all I have to do is look at old content that I’ve already done and basically read off the page or elaborate
(05:50) on the page remember like I said earlier good content is good content and so if you’re able to take your Carousel or quote posts that have performed well in the past and turn them into real format there’s a likelihood that it’s also going to perform pretty damn well and so if you haven’t tried it already definitely consider using the green screen function and start creating Instagram reels without necessarily Reinventing the wheel now moving on to the next type of reel to create that will get you a lot of
(06:17) views without a lot of work and that is quote reels they look something like this every time I post them on my account they typically perform really really well and so the first step that you want to do is make sure that you have videos that you can post this can be stock videos for instance you can go to pixels and then search up any video and download it or you can do what I like to do which is filming a lot of hyperlapses of my day whether I’m working doing a photo shoot or whatever and this is what a hyperlapse looks like
(06:44) you can download the hyperlapse if you want to create videos that are similar and so that’s the first step the second step is you want to make sure that you have your Twitter post and so what I’ll do is I’ll go into Twitter and I’ll type in my quote or whatever I want to say and then I’ll screenshot that and crop it so that it’s a square or a rectangle now once you’ve screenshotted and you’ve cropped your Twitter post you want to go into your gallery and copy that post next you then want to go into to your
(07:13) Instagram reels editor and upload the hyperlapse that you have from there you’re then going to want to hit paste and now you’re going to be able to paste that Twitter image then you have your quote post it was so easy to create and I didn’t necessarily have to talk to camera do any dancing or film myself with anything other than those hyper lapses which I compile on a daily basis anyways because I always know that I’m going to be creating quote reels now once you’ve done that you then want to
(07:42) layer on any trending music that you might have saved and by the way if you don’t know how to do this all you have to do is go into your Instagram reels explore feed and if you see any audios that have this pointing arrow that basically tells you that it is a trending audio and so what you want to do is you want to click on that audio and then add to favorites now when you start editing your post you’re able to access your saved audio pieces that you can easily put in your content and so that’s basically the simple steps of how
(08:11) to create quote posts and they give me such a great return on my time because again I don’t have to show my face I don’t have to do anything and because I’m layering that trending audio on top I’m able to get a lot of views and a lot of reach from not only my followers but my non-followers as well and it definitely helps with fueling growth to my account now moving on to the next real idea for you that will get you more views than usual and that is talk to camera organic reels what this looks
(08:41) like is something like this we’ve actually experimented with content that is a lot more highly produced versus content that was filmed with my iPhone and we found that the one filmed with my iPhone outperformed the ones that I filmed with my professional camera and so make sure that in your content strategy that you’re still creating organic content that is native to the platform and what I feel made these content pieces perform extremely well was a few things number one have a really strong hook because the first two
(09:11) seconds is going to matter the most most number two make sure that your reel is about 30 seconds or less I have actually experimented with this and any time that we go past Max 40 seconds we notice that the Reel doesn’t perform as well not only this one thing that I noticed that has worked extremely well is also changing up the scene and so even though I’m talking to camera sometimes I’ll switch the scene and I’ll actually draw something on a notebook like this to further visualize what I’m trying to
(09:40) explain I noticed that every time that I do this my reels have performed a lot better than usual and then the next tip that I have to make these reels perform really well is to still make sure that you add captions you can do this with platforms like the script like cap cut like vdi o or you can even use the caption feature on Instagram like I’ve done here this also works equally as well but all in all if you’re going to be doing talk to camera videos like this my biggest recommendation is to keep it
(10:07) as organic as possible and also making sure that it’s 30 seconds Max and making sure you have those captions in place this will guarantee the amount of views that you get on your reel the next time that you do a talk to camera video now moving on to the next type of reel to create that can get you some views and that is repurposing your long form content if you are a YouTuber or you’re a video podcaster or maybe you’re a coach that does a lot of Zoom calls my recommendation is to clip those into 30
(10:37) second clips that you can repurpose and repost onto your feed now there is a really easy way to do this especially if you do not have a video editor and that is using something like diss script so with the descript software what you can do is you can upload your full YouTube clip this is an example I have right here it’ll automatically transcribe it so you can easily see what specifically you want to clip for your Instagram reel so for instance if this is the only section that I want to clip from my Instagram reel I’m going to highlight
(11:08) that and then right click and click click to composition and hit new what it’s going to do is it’s going to separate that clip for that specific section that I had wanted now from here you’re going to want to click this video setting button right here and hit portrait mode now you’re going to have the right orientation for Instagram reels you’re now able to also drag this as far as you want to fill as most of the screen as you can now from here the cool thing about this script is you can
(11:36) click this plus sign right here and then choose the option fancy captions now when you add fancy captions it’s automatically going to add the captions to the video and then from here you’re able to play with the font size the font type so for example over here I can select a whole different type of font and then you can add fill colors and active word color animation so for instance if I wanted to make this red I could then make it like this overall descript is a really great option for those of you who want to
(12:08) easily turn your YouTube videos into short form content like Instagram reels and I highly recommend it for those of you who may not have an in-house editor helping you with your video editing now so far in this video I’ve given you a few Instagram reels ideas that can get you a ton of views but if you want to take your content strategy to the next level I highly recommend that you watch this video here where I not only give you even more content ideas but I also show you my exact content strategy on how I create and post my content so
(12:37) thank you so much for watching this video but I will see you in this one next [Music] thank you

The post Reels that Get Views in 2023 (50,000+ views with MINIMAL WORK!) first appeared on Social Marketing Associates.

Transcript:
(00:00) the number one reason that you’re not getting the views that you want to on YouTube right now is simply because you’re not uploading your videos the right way but don’t worry by the end of this video you’re going to know the exact way that you need to be uploading your content on YouTube right now to get as many views as humanly possible from YouTube shorts in fact this Creator just made the changes to their upload process that I’m about to share with you and gained over 100,000 subscribers in just
(00:21) 30 days and this Creator did the same thing except they gain over 20,000 subscribers more importantly they were actually able to get monetized literally from a single post that they uploaded the right way as opposed to uploading all their other content the wrong way but I do want to warn you if you skip just one part of this video it could actually be the thing that’s destroying your views step number one you need to make sure that you actually begin the upload process from a mobile device way too many of you are uploading it from an
(00:47) iPad or uploading from a PC and it’s destroying the amount of reach that you’re getting you need to upload from a mobile device because then you can actually choose the thumbnail that you’re going to use and if you don’t understand how YouTube shorts work essentially they show up in three places one browse features which is basically the homepage secondly in Search and third they show up on the shorts feed now for two of three of those guess what you need to have a good thumbnail for your content to stick out and for people
(01:13) to click on it and if people click on it you’re going to get more views but for the shorts feed this doesn’t necessarily matter but what a lot of you are mistakenly doing is ignoring browse features in Search and that actually accounts for a ton of different traffic on YouTube so by doing that you’re literally cutting the views that you could have gotten by like 70 % for example I recently uploaded this video right here and literally just my thumbnail is the reason that I got 100,000 views more than one of my
(01:37) competitors and 50,000 views more than the other competitor and this video continues to get thousands of views every single day and it’s been like that for a few months now and I’m going to guess that it’s going to continue to happen in the future because nobody’s actually made a better video with a better title a better thumbnail and a better piece of content and if you begin changing your strategy to think like this and upload your content the right way the same thing could happen your views because it’s easier to get views
(02:02) on YouTube right now than it ever has been before so to get started here’s what you have to do all you have to do is click that plus sign in the middle of the YouTube app and from here you want to click create a short and then you’ll be able to choose the file you want to upload now remember most viral shorts on YouTube are between 12 to 15 seconds 24 to 30 seconds and 55 to 60 seconds so if you’re not outputting shorts that are in that length you’re probably doing something wrong and on top of that this
(02:27) is going to be topic specific so just because 12 seconds video on one topic worked doesn’t mean you should make all your videos 12 seconds instead you should actually be doing the research you need to do the research for the topic you’re about to post about and figure out the best length of that post because if you don’t understand how this works essentially people that watch Minecraft videos watch 60-second Minecraft videos or 30 seconds or 12 seconds and guess what each one of those different lengths has a different
(02:54) audience size so if you choose the wrong length for your content you could drastically increase or decrease the amount amount of people that you’re aable to reach and this could be having a huge impact on how many views you actually get so once you’ve uploaded your video via a mobile device now you need to put in your title and for right now this could just be a placeholder and remember you should never be uploading a title that has more than three hashtags I mean YouTube literally says in their terms of service that they wouldn’t
(03:18) recommend uploading videos with more than three hashtags because it decreases the ability for them to use those hashtags to find the correct audience and remember how YouTube actually works when you upload a video to YouTube especially if you’re a small channel YouTube is going to seede your content with a specific audience if they do not like that content your content’s not going to get continued to push out and one of the ways that you can affect which audience YouTube is actually seating your content with is by choosing
(03:42) the right hashtags and by doing two other things I’m going to share with you later on this video which are going to make a huge difference if you’re not reaching the Right audience right now so after putting in your placeholder title right there what you’re going to want to do now is click on that little edit icon that’s going to allow you to choose a thumbnail now remember you can’t choose a random photo for the thumbnail it needs to be something that actually shows in the video so when you’re
(04:03) creating your video you need to be creating a scene that you think is going to be a good thumbnail and remember the best way for you to actually determine what type of thumbnail you should be creating is by typing in the title or typing in the topic and seeing what the other thumbnails look like and make sure yours is better ideally you’re going to want to be invoking curiosity or showing something that gets to the point of the title or what they could expect to come later and makes them need to click on
(04:27) that video because if somebody doesn’t need to click on your video they’re probably going to click on somebody else’s from here you want to click on visibility and you want to schedule the video for some date far in the future don’t make it today don’t make it tomorrow cuz it could potentially mess up one of the later parts that we’re going to add in this video and also you want to make sure that you do not put it as unlisted or put it as private I know a lot of small accounts have been doing
(04:49) that and it could potentially be decreasing the reach that you’re getting because those two are really only used if you want to share a video with somebody and never want to set the video public or if you want to run the video as an ad and you don’t want it to actually show on your YouTube channel or you want to put it on a course or something along the lines of that so please don’t use those features as a placeholder so now what you need to do is head over to your desktop or your laptop CU there’s a ton of other changes
(05:13) you need to make to this piece of content but first I need to make sure that you actually have a good title for your short this is a stage where a lot of people mess up if you’re just choosing a random title or you’re not putting a lot of effort or thought into this it could be destroying the amount of views that you get because it’s the biggest signal to YouTube of who they should pushing the content to now what I strongly suggest you do is use a tool like vid IQ and I want you to use it for two reasons one they give you daily
(05:37) ideas based on your channel based off of the post that I’ve done well and your competitor’s content or just the people on YouTube that are posting other content that’s similar to yours on top of that you can use their tool to do keyword research so you can search for something and actually determine the best keyword to put in your title that’s going to maximize the amount of views that you’re getting and on top of that if you click into it you’ll be able to see all the trending videos and this
(06:00) will show you the scripts that are working the formats that are working the titles that are working and so much more that’s going to make you a way better YouTuber if you don’t already have vid IQ I strongly suggest you go to the pin comment below and sign up today it’s just $1 for 30 days and to be quite Frank it’s going to be the best $1 that you’ve ever spent because it’s going to make you a way better YouTube Creator and they will literally create your titles tags and descriptions for you
(06:25) okay so now that we got the phone part out of the way and you’re using vid IQ now to come up with the best titles tags and descriptions we need to actually add that in your content so now what you’re going to do you’re going to want to add your title I know a lot of people out there are saying use titles that are less than 55 characters long yes that’s great for entertainment stuff but for Education stuff it might not be the best in fact the majority of videos that have gone viral on my channel actually have
(06:48) titles that are a lot longer than 55 characters so don’t hold yourself to that but just know 55 characters might be the only thing that shows up and from there I need you to write a description the description should ideally be 2 to three sentences long it should have the keywords that you have in your title and it should basically just be a description of the video please make sure if you’re going to use hashtags you put them in the title and you do not put them in the description I’m going to share with you later the best hashtags
(07:13) to use for your specific Niche but first I need to make sure that you’re choosing the right tags now when it comes to tags your tags should look like this essentially all you’re going to do with tags is you want different phrases that are relevant to the video and you want to fill up 450 to 47 five of the 500 characters I see a lot of people go all the way to 500 I see a lot of people stay below 50 neither of those things are going to help you and you need to make sure that you’re choosing the right
(07:39) title choosing the right description choosing the right tags but we can’t stop there because YouTube just released a new feature that you need to be adding to your shorts and it’s going to Skyrocket the amount of money that you make on YouTube the time it takes you to get monetized and ultimately how many views you end up getting now that next feature that you need to make sure that you’re adding is a related video YouTube Just came out with this if you don’t know YouTube got rid of links on shorts
(08:03) they did this to combat spam and to combat fraud but now what you can do is add a related video and you could do this for three different things one you could change all your related videos to your latest long form piece of content to drive more people there so you make more money and get monetized quicker the second thing you can do is set up a sales page or a sales video that’s going to be unlisted and then drive everybody to that or third you could drive people to your other shorts in fact the more views that you get per viewer on YouTube
(08:31) the higher the odds that they’re going to continue to push out your content we can’t stop there because there’s one other thing you need to make sure that you do now that your video is done it’s completely uploaded you’ve done everything right you put the titles the tags the description the related video now what you need to do is publish your video or schedule it for a future date and from there you need to go to the video you need to leave a pin comment that’s going to be getting people to
(08:54) subscribe or getting people to watch more of your content because if you’re not doing that you’re missing out on views in addition to that if you’re not choosing the right hashtags in your content it could actually be the thing that’s killing your views so check out this video right here where I tell you exactly what hashtags you need to use for your specific Niche and how many hashtags you should be doing

The post You’re Uploading Shorts The Wrong Way 👀 DO THIS INSTEAD (How To Upload A YouTube Short 2023) first appeared on Social Marketing Associates.

Transcript:
(00:00) I posted a tick tock that got 19 000 views and then a few months later I posted the exact same video but this time applied a few principles that I’m going to be teaching in this video and it got almost 5 million views same video just a few small tweaks so what made the difference let’s talk about it why are your Instagram reels or tick tocks not getting views now each social media platform will have its differences in formatting and algorithms but the basic principles that make a piece of content go viral are all the same and I
(00:32) want to share with you 10 of those principles in this video but first why why should you care about getting views on and building a following on Instagram or Tick Tock for yourself or for a video client in short because more traffic more followers equals more people to Market to which ultimately will allow you or your client to make more money in your business and if we’re being honest that’s the end game for most creators and businesses is to make a living off of that content so if you want to grow
(00:57) your business or be a capable marketer to grow other businesses you’ll want to learn and apply these principles so let’s dive in our first and most important tip is content is King the first and main reason why your rails or tick tocks don’t get views is that your content isn’t relatable relevant or shareable the rest of my tips in this video won’t do you much good if the content of your video just doesn’t appeal to anyone so let’s give you a few examples of how to do each of these
(01:24) first relatable can people relate to your content a good example of relatable content in the filmmaking space specifically is Chris Hua wow ha one of his most viewed reels as of late is him posing a relatable question so you want to get into photography he then shocks you with his answer don’t do it and then gives you all the relatable reasons about how expensive it is how many endless pieces of gear you have to buy how many posts on Instagram you don’t get any views and eventually you get one awesome photo and it makes it all worth
(01:55) it now these are all examples of relatable scenarios as someone watching this you think oh man he is describing my experiences so you hit the share button so it hits two of those three factors really well and that’s why this post got a lot of shares and Views now Chris is more focused on comedic sketches and posing relatable questions and scenarios but comedy may not be your strength so let’s look at Sam colder who focuses more on shareability one of his most viewed reels at 3 million views is him cliff jumping and an amazing
(02:25) tracking shot from an fpv drone now this activity is hardly relatable to most regular people but it is shocking both the activity and the camera movement are shockingly cool and that shock Factor makes things shareable you watch this and you think oh man I gotta show my buddy how cool this shot is and if you look a few weeks earlier he basically posted the exact same clip except this one only had half a million views which shows that the activity was still shocking enough to get a good amount of views but when he then added some epic
(02:54) music an epic tracking camera movement suddenly the share ability went way up so as you’re creating content for yourself for clients ask yourself the question would I share this with someone I know if the answer is no then think how can we spice this up to add some more shock or wow factor to make it more shareable the last example we’ll look at is my account on full-time filmmaker now I don’t put much Focus on Instagram and Tick Tock content so my numbers aren’t going to look as good as these other
(03:22) guys I’ve mentioned but my brand focuses more on relevant pieces of gear unboxing videos generally perform better than my tutorial content because everyone unboxes products so it’s relatable activity but beyond that when I choose to unbox a piece of camera gear that recently came out that makes it relevant relevance means it’s trending it’s in the news it’s new it’s a novel when you can post about something that people are already talking about it will catch their eye because it’s relevant to them
(03:50) my most viewed unboxing video was surprisingly this lens cap because not only was it new but it was unique interesting novel and unusual so the goal when creating any content Instagram and Tick Tock content included is to try and check off all three of these boxes let’s move on to our next tip and that is keep it concise a big question I get asked on this topic is how long should my rails be and vaguely the answer is as long as you can keep someone’s attention for generally the algorithms will favor
(04:20) shorter content like 5 to 10 seconds but that doesn’t mean longer form content can’t be shareable I recently started a new faith-based account called true Millennials and even though most of my reels aren’t concise at all one of my four minute rails got over 300 000 views and I just barely started this account so that shows you a couple of things that one you don’t need a large following to catch hold of Instagram or tick tock’s algorithms but two it also shows you that length doesn’t
(04:45) necessarily matter Instagram specifically has a 90 second limit on their rails but they recently changed posts that can be up to 15 minutes long to also show up in the real feeds even if it’s longer than 90 seconds so even if it’s longer than 90 seconds it still has the same shareability as a real that having been said our attention spans are short so generally speaking the shorter the better and that brings me to our next tip the hook the first three seconds is the most important part of your video as people are scrolling
(05:15) through Instagram or Tick Tock you have about three seconds to capture their attention to hook them into watching the rest Mr Beast is one of the Masters at creating engaging hooks his primary way of doing this is by posing a relatable question right out of the gates or giving a quick summary of what the video is about right at the beginning but as you’re brainstorming content and as you’re in the editing room think what can I do in the first few seconds of this video to get people hooked I did that with this video you’re watching
(05:43) right now I picked out what I felt was the most shocking most engaging part of this video and I put a little teaser at the beginning to hook you in to get you interested in learning more so if you have a one minute video for example I’d put the most engaging clip my most shocking moment or the most relatable clip at the very beginning but moving on to our next tip and that is the 10 second rule originally I made this roll up about seven years ago since then attention spans have diminished so we’ll update it and call it the five second
(06:10) rule but basically what it means is don’t let more than five seconds go by without changing visually what your audience is looking at the first step is to to hook their attention the second step is to retain their attention throughout the whole video this can be done through captions or on-screen texts or it can be done with changing camera angles or punching in on the existing angle but probably the most engaging option is to add b-roll or video clips that visually show what you’re audibly hearing this tip is more relevant to
(06:37) Talking Heads like this but the rule applies to any kind of edit now ideally you have your own b-roll that you’ve shot but if you don’t have any b-roll of the subject matter at hand then just use some stock footage the site I use for all my stock footage is story blocks and they’re actually the ones sponsoring this video today recently I’ve been using them a ton for a lot of my Instagram edits allowing me to turn otherwise rather boring Talking Heads into engaging Instagram reels and I can always find the stock Clips I’m looking
(07:04) for at storyblocks because they have over a million 4K and HD royalty free video clips to choose from and they regularly add more based on in demand keywords and you also get unlimited downloads and simple licensing without any extra fees with their flexible subscriptions that’s my favorite part is I don’t have to license individual Clips I can just download as many as I want and I also frequently use their pre-made motion graphic templates to increase the production quality of my videos and streamline my creative process with
(07:32) minimal effort so as a long time subscriber I can highly recommend their services and you can learn more by clicking the link in the description below or go to storyblocks.com Parker and it doesn’t have to be exactly every 5 to 10 seconds that’s not the point just keep the edits engaging keep your audience on their toes by giving them something new to look at as often as possible but moving on to our next tip and that is to add value rather than ask for Value let me point out one of the biggest mistakes I see content creators
(08:02) make on social media in general and that is that they post about themselves newsflash no one cares about you until they know how much you care about them until you add value to their lives that could be in the form of entertainment or giving them news out updates educating them or it could be making them laugh making them feel good about themselves inspiring them but this is why so many podcasts and Vlogs fail out of the gates because most Vlogs and podcasts are centered around me and my life hi welcome to my podcast today we’re going
(08:34) to talk about me no one cares Peter McKinnon tried to start a vlog back in the day and no one really cared about his daily life until he started adding value to their lives through tutorials and education now it help study is also super entertaining so he adds value in that way as well but the bigger value that exploded his channel was his focus on educating others so ask yourself that question when brainstorming what kind of content to create is this going to add value to other people’s lives okay next
(09:03) tip is humans connect with real humans not with brands or organizations this is a tough one for me personally and for many videographers and filmmakers in general because we usually like to be behind the camera we don’t like putting ourselves on camera unfortunately though in today’s landscape of social media it favors the extrovert favors those willing to put their face on a camera now of course it is possible to create successful reels and Tick-Tock content without putting your face on camera but I encourage every Creator even if you
(09:32) are a behind the scenes camera person to build your personal brand by including behind the scenes shots of yourself talk to your audience on camera when it makes sense not only will this help you better connect with your audience but it will attract more video clients as well as they get a feel for who you are as a person since they’re hiring you to work with you not just buying a final video product from you and on this note I’ll add that people connect better to you when you’re being real authentic organic
(09:58) unscripted again I’m not great at this because I script A lot of my content but for example that’s why such a popular format you’ll see in reels and tick tocks is a clip of two people talking to each other in podcast format because two people having a real unscripted dialogue comes across so much more natural and real and organic than someone talking to a camera in monologue in order to monologue the person has to be insanely talented as a communicator which some people are but for those of us who
(10:25) aren’t dialogue with another human can help it feel a lot more real and natural as humans connect with real humans moving on to our next tip though is to keep up to date with Trends and trending audio yes it is possible to succeed on Instagram and Tick Tock without ever jumping on a trend or ever using a trending audio but of course the algorithms will work in your favor if you can include some trending audio and your content will instantly fall into the relevant category if you’re jumping on a video style or song that is
(10:55) trending this is one of the easiest ways to grow from nothing an example of this on our Tick Tock page at full-time filmmaker was a one minute clip from one of my tutorials showing the difference in focal lengths but if you’re shooting at too wide of a focal length the face looks too skinny and pulled back and it did okay it had 19 000 views but we didn’t use any music just the clip then a couple months later we posted the exact same video and except this time we cut out my voice and instead put the
(11:21) stupid Siri voice as the voiceover and we put a caption on the screen and put it to a song that was trending at the time and we also followed my second tip and chopped it down to just 10 seconds to make it more concise this is how different focal lengths affect how how you look I’ve been dancing in my room and what do you know it got 5 million views 19 000 versus 5 million and using the trendy Siri voice and the trendy audio was a big part of that difference now don’t feel like you have to jump on Trends if you can naturally include some
(11:56) Trends in your content then great but don’t force it I have seen people though that will post multiple variations of the same edit each one with a different hook and different music and different lengths until they get one of them to take off and then they’ll delete the other variations but moving on to our next tip which is specific to talking head content like this is don’t neglect lighting and audio a lot of shareable content these days can be done from a smartphone camera and I think that’s
(12:21) fine as far as video quality goes even the audio can be usable from a smartphone as long as you’re close enough to the camera but if you’re doing anything where you’re not right next to the camera then use a microphone it will make your videos feel so much higher quality I promise and if you love mic options I recommend in different price ranges would be first the FTF gear lav mic which is thirty dollars that’s your cheapest option and it is wired the biggest downside of these cheaper mics plugged into a phone is that you can’t
(12:48) adjust the volume level so you can’t talk too loud or else it’s going to distort your next step up is something like a saramonic love mic that can plug straight into your iPhone and it has a wireless transmitter and this one costs about a hundred and forty dollars but does give you some gain control and then I also own a DJI love mic which is a nicer version of The saramonic Love mic that comes in at three hundred dollars and I’ll show you now the difference between the audio in each of those alright so so your audio sounds like
(13:13) just coming from the iPhone itself usable fine but now and this is what your audio is going to sound like with the FTF gear mic nice and cheap thirty dollars next you’ve got the saramonic lav mic that you can either talk into this or you can talk into a microphone this is going to be Wireless that transmits to it so you can have more freedom and then you have your DJI love mic that just comes with this you can plug a mic into it but doesn’t come with one and this is going to give you the most control over your game levels just
(13:40) coming from the iPhone it’s self with the FTF gear mic the saramonic lav mic and then you have your DJI love mic and we’ll talk about Studio mics in another video I have coming out talking about podcasting but on the lighting side again you can get by with a cheap camera as long as your lighting looks decent the free option of course is plop yourself next to a window or you can pick up a ring light for less than a hundred dollars or take it a little more serious and get something like an amaron 60D plus a soft dome for around 200
(14:07) total but with just a couple hundred dollars in audio and lighting gear your videos are going to look and sound much higher quality watch me now deliver the same line with good lighting and good audio versus bad lighting and bad audio and tell me which one you’d be more likely to stop and listen to stop scrolling and listen to what I have to say I desperately need your attention stop scrolling and listen to what I have to say I desperately need your attention on now to our next tip that is captions or on-screen text watch that same video
(14:40) but now with captions added stop scrolling and listen to what I have to say I desperately need your attention captions or subtitles are a growing necessity on short form content it makes content much more engaging and easier to consume as you can both hear audibly and see visually what’s being said this also makes the content more shareable across other languages as some people may be able to read your language better than they can understand it personally I use Adobe Premiere Pro for most of my posts to Auto generate all my captions and I
(15:12) did a tutorial on adobe’s YouTube channel that I’ll link below on how to generate those captions but you can also use phone apps if you don’t have Premiere Pro I’ve used the app captions and I’ve really liked using that but captions are a great way to do what we mentioned in the five second rule tip and that is to keep your audience engaged and retain their attention better throughout the entire video and even if there’s no talking in your video by throwing on some text on your video
(15:36) at the beginning for example it can act like a hook to add anticipation and to tell the viewer what they can expect to see happening later on and now moving on to our last tip number 10 is aspect ratio and Export setting this tip pains me but sadly vertical 9×16 content will typically perform better as it takes up the full use of the screen and looks more organic like you shot it on your phone vertically if I’ve shot something in 16×9 I will either just scale in to fit a vertical frame or if too much of
(16:07) my subject is being cut off then I’ll just put a title on top and some subtitles below to utilize the space better but ideally the video itself is taking up the full vertical frame so you’ll want to keep that in mind when framing your shots but when I edit together content that I’m delivering for both YouTube horizontal and Instagram vertical I’ll first do the edit vertically in a 1080 by 1920 sequence I’ll then copy my whole timeline and paste it into a new horizontal 1920×1080 timeline and then I’ll just reframe the
(16:36) clips to fit the horizontal aspect ratio and adjust the captions as needed usually only takes me about a half hour to reformat the entire video from one to the other keep in mind though with your vertical edits that part of your frame is going going to be cluttered with Instagram or Tick Tock details like likes comments shares and the caption below so I actually have a PNG template that I made that I’ll link below that you can download for free that you can overlay while you’re editing to ensure that none of the important captions or
(17:03) important imagery is clashing also keep in mind on certain phones like the newer iPhones when you click into an Instagram reel or on Tick Tock it actually crops your video even slightly skinnier than 9×16 aspect ratio so again if you use my PNG overlay you can see exactly where stuff gets cut off on these red lines on this note I get a lot of questions about the best export settings for Instagram and Tick Tock how do you keep the videos from getting reduced in quality I hate to break it to you but social media
(17:33) sites will always reduce the quality of your videos through compression you’re just gonna have to get used to that whether you can press it in Premiere Pro or once you upload it to Instagram either way it’s getting compressed so edit and export from Premiere Pro in the quality you’re happy with I personally just do high quality 1080p preset and Premiere and then I match Source the aspect ratio but the important part that will make a difference in the overall quality is in your Instagram settings
(17:58) click on accounts then go to data usage and make sure you have toggled on upload at highest quality if you don’t have this toggled on then if your internet speed is slow it will reduce the quality in order to allow you to upload your videos quicker so make sure that’s toggled on and that will give you as good of quality as Instagram can muster and as a bonus tip for you distribution is Queen if content is King distribution is Queen this refers to things like using hashtags using a good cover photo or thumbnail posting during a certain
(18:27) time of day posting on certain days posting a certain frequency and posting consistently in general all these little things will increase the likelihood of your videos getting seen so go look your analytics to see when your viewers are most active for me it’s in the mornings around 9am so that’s when I try to post for me there’s no specific day that people are more active on Instagram and I personally don’t take the time to do hashtags to I’m sure it can help probably the most important part of good
(18:51) distribution though is consistency algorithms love to see regular activity for example I went a couple months without posting much on Instagram maybe only once or twice in that time and for the first time in years I started losing followers rather than gaining so I set a goal to at least post once a week and after doing that for three or four weeks the algorithm God smiled upon me and my daily followers started regularly going back to positive I think once a week is a good Baseline to try and shoot for if you want to grow following and stay
(19:20) relevant to your audience ideally you post more than that and if you don’t see great results after a few weeks be patient stay consistent learn from your mistakes and successes and pivot your content each week based on what’s doing well and what’s not doing well and keep in mind that there is a variable of Randomness to this virality game sometimes what it takes for a post to go big is that one specific person with a large following happened to see it and share it and that’s what gives it the
(19:46) initial push to start spreading but you can’t predict or Bank on that one big person to share it so don’t get frustrated trying to nail this down to a science some posts will fall flat some will take off and there won’t always be a specific Rhyme or Reason to it don’t let that discourage you from continuing to create and on that note educate your clients as well when you’re doing rails for them that virality is a random game and I would brainstorm 10 variations of the same piece of content with your
(20:12) client making a bunch of different Hooks and then in the editing room I’d pump out a variety of edits with different styles and approaches so there you have my tips on how to get more views on Instagram reels and tick tocks obviously you don’t have to do all of these on every post these are just some general principles to keep in mind as you’re creating also I did an interview with my buddy Tanner Townsend who grew his music Instagram Tick Tock following from 2 000 followers to over a hundred thousand
(20:39) followers in just a matter of two months and then shortly after he grew his dad’s business account from 13 000 followers to again over a hundred thousand followers in just two months and and he explains how he applied the principles mentioned in this video to do it so if you’d like to see that interview is reserved exclusively for full-time filmmaker members linked below to check that out to get access to over 600 tutorials to help you grow your business lastly don’t forget to subscribe for more content just like this and if you
(00:00) hey this is Dave from unipro in this video I’m going to show you how to get way more views on all your Facebook reels and as an example I’m going to show you some of my Facebook reels and these are targeting a very specific Niche audience yet they’re still getting thousands of views and in this video I’m going to show you the exact strategies that I use and that you can use to make sure that all of your reels get seen by a bigger audience let’s Dive In [Music] so you know that Facebook loves reels
(00:27) you know if you want to be engaging your audience and growing your audience you need to be creating reels but your reels just aren’t getting as many views as you’d like maybe they did at the start maybe the first couple reels you created got a lot of views and then you’ve noticed that engagement and that reach and the number of people who are viewing is decreasing well what the heck some people will say you know just give up on Facebook reels all together go back to posting only on Tick Tock or maybe
(00:49) creating shorts on YouTube no way we know that Facebook is going all in on reels we know that Facebook loves reels in fact let me show you what Mark Zuckerberg recently said in one of his posts he said Facebook just reached uh 2 billion daily active users and he says we’re making progress because of AI Discovery so their Discovery is getting better and specifically reels are a major driver of this so Zuckerberg knows that Facebook reels are going to be a driver short form content is so hot Facebook has to make that a big part of
(01:19) its platform so don’t give up on your Facebook reels instead let’s walk through seven steps that you can take take in order to improve your reels so you get more reach you get more views you get more engagement and you can use all this then to grow your online business so let’s take a look at those seven factors right now the first thing you want to do to maximize the number of views that you get on your reels is to remove any watermarks so I’m going to show you an example here and this happens way too often you’ll see that
(01:43) this person they took their Tick Tock and uploaded it directly as a Facebook reel and it’s still got the tick tock logo here now Facebook it’s really clear that they’re investing a ton of money and a ton of time into Ai and just as their tools get better and better this is going to be so easy for Facebook to detect if it’s not already doing so and as Facebook sees that you’re just taking content straight off Tick Tock and putting it on Facebook how do you think Facebook the algorithm is going to feel
(02:09) about that content well there’s a good chance that your algorithm is going to be decreased and fewer and fewer people are going to see reels that have logos like this on them so make sure you upload a new version of your reel without any watermarks directly to Facebook that’s number one number two you want to post consistently Facebook is really looking for Content creators who are going to consistently be adding value to the platform and who are consistently keeping people engaged on the Facebook platform remember Facebook
(02:34) wants to make money and it does that by showing people ads so if your consistent content can help keep other users on the Facebook platform your reels are going to get seen by way more people Facebook will basically be saying hey thanks for being so consistent with creating this content let me show you how I do this I use a Content calendar here’s my content calendar and you can see in this column for Wednesdays every single Wednesday I create a Facebook reel and I post it on my personal profile now for you maybe
(03:01) you want to do this on a weekly basis like I do maybe you want to do it three times a week Monday Wednesday Friday maybe you want to create a reel every single day whatever you choose in terms of that interval just make sure that you’re really consistent so that you’re training Facebook saying hey we’re here to help you out we’re creating good content on a consistent basis now reward me with more reach and that’s exactly what Facebook’s going to do for you number three if you want more people to
(03:23) see your reels if you want to increase your view use you need to make sure that your audience is full of people who match the niche that would get the most value out of your content what do I mean by that well let me show you an example I’m going to go over to one of my reels here and this particular reel is talking all about Facebook jail you can see down here it says Facebook jail explained well what is Facebook jail Facebook jail is something that basically if you do too much activity or too quickly or you
(03:45) do something Facebook doesn’t like Facebook prevents you from doing certain things on Facebook who would care about this well business owners care about this because they’re using Facebook to grow their business that’s why they’re so active on Facebook in the first place and so it’s really important if I’m going to create a Facebook reel about Facebook jail I need to have an audience who cares here’s how it’ll work for you if you create a Facebook reel Facebook’s going to show that to your audience
(04:08) assuming that the Reel actually matches your audience people are going to start engaging Facebook sees this and says okay we got a winner here let’s show this reel to more people outside of your existing Network who might also be interested and so that’s why it’s so important that you’re building a niche audience who would care about your face Facebook reels now step number four to make sure that your Facebook reels get seen by more people is all about using hashtags and again I’m going to go over
(04:31) and show you an example here so some people will just stuff their content full of hashtags and it actually decreases in Effectiveness the whole reason that we use hashtags is to help Facebook categorize what the Reel is about and so if you create 50 hashtags that’s a lot right that gives 50 different ideas that Facebook has to sort through and determine which one really represents what this Facebook reel is all about so instead what I recommend is that you use three to five really targeted and specific hashtags
(05:00) let me show you an example here so this one is all about getting hot leads on Facebook and notice I use three hashtags I say Facebook marketing online business and online marketing that’s all Facebook needs to know and now it’s going to take those hashtags and say okay this reel is about online marketing Facebook marketing when we see people engaging on content that’s about a similar topic it makes sense to show this reel and therefore this reel will get more views and you can do the exact same thing
(05:24) choosing 3 three to five very specific hashtags for all of your reels step number five to make sure that your reels get more views is by using a hook because Facebook reels are such short form content you only have a split second to get people really engaged to get them interested to make sure that they watch the entire 60 or 90 seconds however long your reel is and so in that Split Second the first second or two of your video you need to give a hook let me show you an example here this particular reel is all about a new
(05:51) feature from Facebook called Facebook stars that lets people earn money directly from Their audience and so I want to make sure that right out of the gate people understand that this is something new that they haven’t seen before how do I do that I create a hook right on the screen it says new Facebook Stars emphasizing this is new so think about how you can do that with your reels as well right off the bat starting with something that hooks people in so they know they’re going to get value that they haven’t gotten before they
(06:17) know they’re going to want to stick around and watch your entire reel as they watch your entire reel as your view time goes up guess what happens Facebook algorithm sees this and it’s going to start showing your real to more and more people and this leads into number six if you want to get more views on your Facebook reels you need to be using a call to action I’m going to show you an example here all of your reels should tell people what to do next and here’s a good example this particular one was
(06:40) very blatant about it this particular one said type eight in the comments and you can see the result here was 63 comments well what does this do this shows Facebook that people are watching this reel care enough to actually stop and take the time to comment think about that that’s a big deal for reels because reels are so quick and they move so fast through someone’s feed for someone to take the time to stop and comment really shows Facebook that what you produced is hitting it’s really resonating with your
(07:05) audience and therefore Facebook needs to find more people like that to show that real too so how do you do this you can tell people to like the Reel you could tell them to leave a comment like I did in Israel you could tell them to reply to a comment that you put in the Reel anything that gets them to engage on your reel is going to boost your algorithm for that reel and get it seen by more people that’s number six now step number seven is actually something that I don’t use with my reels but it could benefit you depending on your
(07:29) Niche so I do want to address it and that’s trending music if the type of content that you’re creating is for entertainment or if you’re targeting an audience that would really be interested in the type of music you’re using it may be beneficial for you to pick a trending piece of music from Facebook reels as you’re creating your reel and use that within your reel so that people who are engaging on other reels that also use that same training song are more likely to see your content now for me because
(07:55) I’m targeting a business audience I’m not so interested in people who are looking for specific types of music but maybe that makes sense for your Niche and if that is you then definitely try adding trending music to your reels when you create them and this could get your reel seen by more people so those are seven steps that you can use to increase the number of views that you’re getting on your Facebook reels now I do want to be fully transparent and let you know that one of the ways that I make sure
(08:14) that my reels are getting seen by the right people is by using a special tool it’s called unipro and if you’ve never tried a unipro before you got to check it out go over to unipro.com will go out and find your ideal leads and bring those leads over into your audience it’ll help them engage on your content it’ll boost your algorithm so that more people will see your content and even more leads will come your way and unipro even helps you make sales directly through Facebook it’s been an absolute game changer for my business
(08:39) and I know the same will be true for you so definitely check it out at unipro.com that’s what I’ve got for you in this video if this was helpful to you in any way give this video a like and if you have any comments or questions about the algorithm for Facebook reels and how to make sure that your reels are getting seen by more people and by the right people leave those below I’m happy to help out again if you haven’t checked out unipro definitely go check it out you’re gonna love it go over to
(09:02) unipro.com it’s really going to be a game changer for your business it’s going to help you grow so much more quickly on Facebook that’s what I’ve got for you in this video can’t wait to see it in the next video

The post Facebook Reels Not Getting Views?
Transcript:
(00:00) in this video i’m going to show you step by step how to use the new facebook reels feature and make high quality content now if you’re not using the facebook rails feature it’s something you should seriously consider the reason being that typically when a social media company like facebook or instagram launches a new feature on their platform as part of that they push a massive amount of traffic or eyeballs to that new feature and that means that you or i can take advantage of this new feature and get a lot of that traffic so if you
(00:27) miss the early days of tick tock or the early days of instagram reels or youtube shorts it’s now the early days of facebook reels and you can take advantage of that step one let’s talk about actually getting to the real section of the facebook app since facebook app has become so convoluted it’s hard to find where you’re at a lot of time now there’s actually a few different ways you can get to reels the first one you can see right here where it says stories i can click reels or rooms so i can go there and i can see
(00:50) other people’s reels or on the far left just like with facebook stories i can click create real you can also see that directly below what’s on your mind the option to create a reel is there clearly they’re pushing reels and then finally if for some reason these aren’t showing up which seems to happen sometimes you can go to the far bottom right in the menu and there’s another reels option right there so we’re gonna go back to home right here we’re gonna click create real and this is the screen that it’s
(01:12) going to take you to now something you need to understand before we get started is that some of the edits and the things that you’re going to do like effects on your video they’ll be done ahead of time before you film and some of them are done after the video or after you film so we’ll let you see which one is which as we go along here now you can see here where it says length okay this is where we select the length of the video and we have three options 15 30 or 60 seconds now i usually just select 60 since it
(01:36) doesn’t have to be the length that’s selected it can be however long you want up to the length that you select so we’re going to select a 60 second video right here next you can see that we’re going to choose an input meaning where is this video going to come from the button at the bottom basically says we’re going to film that video from one of the two cameras on your phone now you can switch on the bottom right back and forth between my two cameras look there’s my desk so you can switch back
(02:01) and forth on the input there or you can select from your current camera roll now i can select this video clip right here but once i’ve selected that clip i can no longer add anything else meaning i can’t string together a bunch of clips inside of the facebook app i can just select one and then move from there however if you choose to make videos from the button at the bottom the recording button you can actually string together recordings let me show you what i mean real quick if i click this button
(02:27) and hold it down the recording button you can see at the top it’s telling me how much time i have left in this recording but now i can pause and let go i can change over to the front camera if i want and i can record again and it’s going to start right where it left off you can see now it’s saying i’ve got about 50 seconds left and counting and you can see each of those circles is a break so as long as you’re holding down that recording button it’s going to be recording and it’s going to start from
(02:49) wherever the previous recording ended up to 60 seconds now you may have noticed a lot of people doing reels where they’re actually singing along with content and music and things like that and the way they do that is on the top where it says audio you can select the audio ahead of time which means the audio will play as you record and that’s how people are able to sing or make sounds directly with the audio as they go now the way the audio works you can preview different songs by clicking the play button here we’ll show you right there
(03:14) you can also save different ones that you like for later and it’ll be saved just by clicking that little bookmark right there and once you have one that you like then you would click it and it will add it to the mix now since most songs are not the exact length that you need you can take this bar and actually scroll it back and forth and figure out where it is in that particular song that you want the clip to be pulled from so i’m going to choose just from the very beginning for the sake of the tutorial now that we’ve done
(03:39) that we’re back to our main screen and we can continue recording but you’ll notice as i click record it’s going to be playing the song as well so that i can record myself with the music we’ll see that right here [Music] [Applause] [Music] yeah that’s not really my style on facebook reels the next thing you need to know is the speed editor right there so you can see it says speed and what that means is i can actually ahead of time choose if what i’m filming wants to be played faster or slower than i’m
(04:09) actually filming for example if i select point three right here then when i film it’s actually going to be playing what’s recorded in slow motion so watch when i click record right here you’re going to see that timer at the top go really really fast because it knows that whatever i play is actually going to be one third as fast on the screen or it’s going to be about three seconds for every one second of recording and i can do the same thing in speed meaning three times the speed whatever i film it’s going to play it
(04:34) three times as fast moving down we can select effects ahead of time meaning i can select uh click effects and then it’s got all these different little things that you can do to yourself that in my opinion are quite nonsensical but do quite well on both facebook reels and tik tok and the last two options are the timer and green screen timer is very easy let’s pretend you want to do some kind of cool trick or something like that and you want to set down your phone run out and then have it start recording
(04:56) you’d click timer and you can choose 3 or 10 seconds and then you can also say only record for 30 you know 30 seconds 10 seconds 5 seconds however long you want it to record click set and you’re good to go and then last you can also do a green screen and all green screen is is i can select this i can choose a different background for myself here you can see that was very very easy to do or i can choose it from my actual camera roll and i can choose a background like this very very very easy now once you’ve
(05:19) filmed as many clips as you want for example right now if you look in the top left you can tell i’ve filmed two clips once you have as many clips as you want and you’re still under your time limit you click next now clicking next will take us to the post filming editing section but it’s worth noting that if i do something like add a sticker or any other editing and then i click go back it will actually discard all the changes so i can go back to add more clips to the end of my clips but you will lose
(05:42) all the changes you made in the post editing phase at that point now some of them are very similar for example we can edit the audio once again at the end if we want something different you’ll see here though after you click that is that you can actually mix the audio meaning you can push more volume towards your voice or you can push more volume towards the actual music and make kind of a nice balance in the two different sounds they’re hearing you can also click add voiceover right here and then you can record a voiceover over
(06:06) different sections of the video as you go you can also make edits to individual clips meaning when i click edit clips right there you can see i’ve got two different clips at the bottom one’s five seconds and one’s three seconds i can click into either one of those i can make trims if i started talking too late or something like that or i can reshoot it or do any of these edits at the bottom like change the speed change the crop do a reverse or a mirror now the last thing is probably these stickers
(06:28) right here and you can see right here i select stickers and it’s just different fun things i can add to the video i can also add gifs or emojis and kind of add a little bit of fun pizzazz to what’s supposed to be fun videos now as soon as you finish this and you feel comfortable with the video that you’ve created you can go click next and now all you’ve got to do is add some kind of title to your video that’ll get people to watch it you select who you want to be able to see your video i never know who uses most of
(06:52) these options i typically just go public but then last is the remixing option now this is kind of cool and i typically leave it selected it’s very similar to tick-tock duets but essentially someone out there can watch your video they can say hey i want to make a fun video that’s side by side and we’ll show on the screen here an example but it’s their video plus your video on the other side and it kind of promotes you to their followers as well so it’s just a way to help grow your channel and you
(07:13) can also do the same to other people so all you would need to do is when you’re looking at different reels from different people like this you can see the bottom right there’s three dots i can click it and click remix this reel what that’s going to do is actually put you on one side and they’re real on the other side and you can make a fun little video of you kind of pointing out what they’re doing or adding something to what they’re doing and that’s facebook reels if you’ve used tik tok or youtube
(07:35) shorts it’s very very similar they’ve added some other cool features as well basically learn from some of the mistakes of tick tock all in all it’s a great app and it’s a great opportunity right now to be getting some really easy traffic to your content now if you’re a creator and you’re trying to monetize content this is the channel for you don’t forget to subscribe and thank you so much for watching

The post Facebook Reels FULL Tutorial (Ultra-Beginner Friendly) first appeared on Social Marketing Associates.

Transcript:
(00:00) which actually brought me in sales I think I made like thirty thousand dollars off this one TikTok video which I was not expecting I’m like okay I cracked the code baby we we figured it out this is working when I first started doing this I said oh yeah this is it this is the money right here this is the money right here oh TikTok likes this we’re gonna keep doing that all right they’re asking how to clean it she’s a Savage look look it’s no comparison [Music] what’s up boss babes welcome back to
(00:46) another video y’all this video is going to be amazing if I do say so myself and I’m not just saying it because it’s me okay we’re gonna be talking about TikTok um I haven’t done a lot of videos on TikTok so this was necessary I’m all the way over here because I’m going to be sharing my screen on my phone very soon and basically telling y’all exactly how I have accumulated over 90 000 followers on TikTok and over 10 million views in less than two months it actually took me approximately 43 days
(01:20) to do this and I am literally going to tell y’all exactly what I did no catch literally just giving the T it is 10 things that I can honestly say completely accelerated my growth on TikTok and y’all can do these exact things and see some growth it doesn’t matter what your TikTok is about at all you can apply these things and I’m about to give it to y’all and we are going to do these in order of what truly truly truly set the tone and made a difference on this TikTok account so I’m going to
(01:52) save the best for last obviously so let’s just hop into the video don’t forget to give it a thumbs up and let’s get started all right y’all so this TikTok account is my jazz on yay account this was the account that I was using basically for the same type of content that I post here on YouTube educational content around e-commerce and online business and things like that so I want to show y’all my old videos first because as you can see I was not getting a lot of views like it just wasn’t
(02:20) hitting and I wasn’t consistent either so what I started out doing at first was I took clips from my YouTube videos and were just repurposing them on TikTok and I wasn’t seeing a lot of traction doing that and then I had one video Hit and it hit over 50 000 views so I was like what set this video apart and it was actually the content that I chose to put on TikTok that segment of the video is what grants people attention so that’s when I quickly learned that TikTok is all about the hook it’s all
(02:50) about those first few seconds if you can grasp people attention that’s how you win if you don’t have your notebook out yet I need you to get it out now all right because I’ll be moving pretty fast I don’t want this video to be super drawn out for no reason so as y’all can see kept repurposing the content from YouTube I would say about I played around with the time about 30 to 60 seconds to kind of see what worked and it just wasn’t doing it for me so I got off TikTok I was like this is not
(03:16) worth my time the views were low only in the few hundreds and it was not getting any engagement really so girl I just I just let it rest until I noticed when I switched it up a little bit just by studying the platform y’all I love to study things okay I’m gonna study it all and I noticed that there were certain types of videos that would always do great numbers if they followed this specific formula so I tested it out so y’all can see my old content now let’s get into the content that it was
(03:47) actually working which was the remainder of the content that I posted I have literally hit millions of views on the video hundreds of thousands of views on the video for me I view TikTok as a lead funnel my goal is not really to convert people from TikTok is to lead them somewhere else to convert them you get what I’m saying so let’s get into the top 10 things y’all that I did that completely grew and blew my TikTok up and I’m actually not even on TikTok right now because I don’t have an answer for you so the
(04:19) first thing I want to mention is I focus on trendy sounds okay so I knew that this was basically like a cheat code because if a sound is already performing well and people are already looking it up and people are already utilizing it that’s just basically giving yourself a head start in terms of engagement on the video so most of my videos on here the initial video was just a trending sound with words on this screen so let’s talk about the words on the screen every single video has words on the screen and
(04:52) they’re not captions so I wasn’t talking in these videos y’all I was literally just doing the sounds most of the time I’m not doing anything those are the videos I saw perform the best the videos where you aren’t doing nothing perform the best and I’m just like what in the world my first video that hit a million views is sitting at 1.
(05:13) 9 million views now I was literally just staring at an invisible person in my room this video is three seconds long okay now remember how I said the title the text on the screen is so important most people on TikTok are looking for text on screen a lot of people have disabilities so they appreciate when you have text on screen or captions on the screen so when I started noticing this I was like every video needs to have a text on the screen but more importantly than that is I started paying attention to the psychology of the viewer right I in no
(05:46) way shape or forms did I expect this video to hit a million views I think the first day it had 300 000 views and I was like what the hell is going on so my formula y’all I’m telling you I’m giving y’all the tea do you hear me the T I like let’s go let’s just do it the formula I used was to leave it on a cliffhanger a cliffhanger meaning I’m not putting too much into the text on the screen because I want you to comment I want you to be like well how did you do this and how did you do that right
(06:19) that’s that’s the whole point we talked about this a little bit in the video I posted on how to make any amount of money in your business whether that’s five thousand ten thousand twenty sixty seventy eighty we talked about that okay so if y’all didn’t watch that video go ahead and watch that video after you finish with this one but that was the formula for all my videos initially was to use trending sounds and put text on screen that would leave it on a cliffhanger y’all don’t let that go over
(06:44) your head another thing that I did that was really helpful to accumulate more views from my other videos was I utilized the playlist option that TikTok has I think there is a certain amount of followers that you have to have before you can like unlock this feature I’m not sure definitely utilize playlists like if you have a business if you have a brand if you’re just doing funny videos if people are into that type of content you’re posting then they’ll have a playlist of where they can just watch your other videos without
(07:12) sorting through them on your page so that came in handy a lot of people liked that and I could see my views when a video would take off I could see the view for the other videos in that playlist taking off as well just because I had to play with so this next thing I want to mention y’all this is something that I completely saw a difference and the growth of this TikTok account was I was posting a lot a lot okay and I’m gonna tell you how I did this I was posting at minimum three to five times per day and I know you’re probably like
(07:43) oh my God that’s a lot but one thing about TikTok baby you better utilize those drafts you better use those drafts y’all I would literally sit for like an hour to knock out a whole bunch of TikToks and just don’t post them I’ll just save them to the draft so I would always have content I would literally have hundreds of drafts at any moment I had content ready to go and it’s not like YouTube or Instagram where you know every post You Gotta Have Yourself dialed up you have to be dressed up you
(08:13) gotta look cute baby to talk I don’t care about none of that you could film yourself in the same place with the same outfit on 20 times it don’t matter listen y’all get out your head TikTok is not like any other platform you can be you they’re craving that they crave that authenticity so posting three to five times per day took it took it to the next level because TikTok was like oh you’re not messing around you appeared to be serious we got you so I know without a doubt me uploading more
(08:42) consistently on that platform made a difference this has something to do with consistency but I don’t know how to explain this very well it’s more of like a gut feeling and I hope that I can articulate this properly where y’all understand what I’m trying to say okay so I will create these videos right and I will save them as drafts I started to notice that for every third video on that fourth or that fifth video that would be the video that would take off so I almost produced like filler videos
(09:12) If y’all know what I mean like let’s say for example I had a video that I really wanted to do well that wouldn’t be the first video I would upload that day it would be like the fourth hopefully y’all get what I’m trying to say I really don’t it was like more of an intuition thing it would be like all right let’s post our first three videos a few hours apart but this video that I really want to do well we’re going to post that towards like six or seven p.
(09:35) m when people are getting off of work and just kind of utilizing things that I’ve just I just know from experience of the actual day of a viewer right so in the morning times people are getting ready for work or getting ready for school so they’re not as active but around lunchtime and around you know when they’re getting off of work and then around at 9 10 p.
(09:58) m when they’re getting ready for bed and you just sitting in your bed on your phone those are just certain things I just know from experience so I would play around with that as well and we’re gonna get into that a little bit later with the posting times because baby let me tell y’all that’s a gym Jam okay now before I continue y’all I want to tell you that I know a lot of y’all struggle with content creation I get it but for me I love content creation I love coming up with the ideas I love seeing it through so I am hosting a brainstorming session
(10:30) Saturday June 17th at 11 A.M Central and it is very limited I want everybody to have a moment to chime in and we can brainstorm and we can brain dump and we can literally just exchange ideas so if you want to be in that room you can secure your seat at the link in the description y’all it’s first come first served so I would honestly pause this video right now go grab your seat and then come back because if you wait by the time this video is over there may not be any seats left all right so I am thinking about doing this once a month
(11:03) on different topics but this first one will be about content creation and we’ll go from there you better get on your Zoom what’s the TikTok you better get on your Zoom you got to get on your Zoom every morning you got to get on your Zoom at 10. all right y’all so the next thing that I did and I noticed right away made a difference from what I wasn’t doing before is I actually focused on the cover image for my video so you know kind of like Instagram where when you upload a reel you have to choose the
(11:32) cover image and most people don’t think that far you have to think that far y’all so if you’re looking on my TikTok account every single video has words on it so it’s basically kind of telling you either what the video is about or just a preview of that text that I created for that video this is very very important think of yourself when you go on a new TikTok account what makes you click on a video is the image it’s just like YouTube It’s the thumbnail so don’t skip that step it’s
(12:01) just kind of like that that thing that you have to just account for when you are creating the video and editing the video speaking of editing all right y’all let’s get into it so I edited most of my videos inside of TikTok that is another thing I think TikTok just favored my videos because they like you’re doing it directly from the sort so if we talk about the videos that I created using trending sound that was obviously directly from TikTok I needed to use the exact sound that was already trending and you know going
(12:31) viral so I had to do it from TikTok another thing that I noticed is when I would use certain features in the platform that would boost the video as well right so if we look at the first video I have on my page I utilize the green screen I was basically talking about YouTube Automation and how you know how to make ten thousand dollars a month or more with YouTube Automation and I gave examples of different channels and I did this with green screen so that video will perform extremely well that video has 300 000
(13:03) views right now let’s look at the engagement it has 300 000 views 25 000 likes 240 comments and 14 000 saves okay like what and then another video which is my one of my best converting videos which actually brought me in sales I think I made like thirty thousand dollars off this one TikTok video which I was not expecting this video I also did a green screen and I was basically showing my journey of how I first started selling digital products I made a hundred dollars my first month and then I showed the Journey of scaling
(13:41) that to a hundred thousand dollars a month so I did that with green screen that video also has 300 000 views over thirty thousand likes over 300 comments in over 19 000 saves like I’m like okay I cracked the code baby we we figured it out this is working and I always tell y’all you don’t have to do a million things you just gotta test some things out double down on what’s working and forget what ain’t working hello so I already know this okay boom me doing these trending sounds that’s popping off
(14:16) we’re gonna keep doing that when I use features and I edit from TikTok that’s giving me a little boost we’re gonna keep doing that I’m being consistent and TikTok really likes that we’re gonna keep doing that you know so it’s just about finding what works y’all but I’m telling y’all it no matter what you do baby if you do one two three of these things if you all 10 of them you’re gonna be good and I told y’all this happened in less than two months it took 43 days I literally
(14:43) screenshotted my growth one thing about me I’m addicted to the growth I’m addicted to the journey in the process and I love to just document it so I’m going to share that with y’all as well but let’s move on to the number four thing okay the number four thing y’all we getting close to the gym we getting close to the goal we’re getting so close number four is I replied to comments in video forms y’all this by far when I first started doing this I said oh yeah this is it this is the money
(15:13) right here this is the money right here oh TikTok likes this we’re gonna keep doing that and one thing that I love that TikTok has is the option to favorite comments so let’s say you see a comment and you want to respond to it but you don’t want to lose it all you gotta do is favor the baby and there’s a whole section for your favorites and you can see all the comments that you have previously favorited so you can just go back and respond to it when you have the time when you you know filming all your
(15:36) videos and you put them in the draft y’all I’m telling you [Music] that combination baby of utilizing the trending sound y’all happy until the psychology of people leaving them on a cliffhanger don’t give them too much don’t give them too much you don’t have to put everything in one video let that go just on Instagram they say YouTube okay it’s TikTok all right and then replying to their comments with a video y’all the two-piece combo we’re gonna call it a two-piece combo y’all
(16:06) that two-piece combo is deadly do you hear me deadly because when you utilize TikTok’s features they like that like they want you to use the features they made like hello that’s why it’s there you know what I’m saying some of my most viewed videos are literally me responding to comments this video 123 000 views all right so let’s move on to number three I said this video wasn’t gonna be too long y’all so number three is I played around with the posting times what I’m about to tell y’all is
(16:37) going to blow your mind because it blew my mind maybe it won’t blow your mind because I know I’m over dramatic play around with the posting time that video I made my first million view video that’s sitting now at 1.9 million views I posted that at midnight at midnight what I used to do on Instagram two three years ago is I played around with posting time and if you are an OG boss bae you already know this I started posting at 12 o’clock 2 am 3 A.M 4 a.
(17:03) m 6 a.m for the night owls if everybody on a platform hear me out hear me out if everybody on the platform is posting during the day it’s so much noise so much noise and here you come posting in the middle of the night for all the people that’s up for all the people that are in other parts of the world hello there’s your video waiting to be grabbed up I told y’all that first day it got like 300 000 views I was like what the hell remember what I said y’all you doubled down on what’s working so you mean to tell me if
(17:37) I post at 12 I’m gonna get 300 000 views I’m gonna post at 12 again hello hello my most viewed video which is sitting at seven million views was posted at 3 A.M 3 A.M I posted it and one thing about it you can’t schedule posts on TikTok baby you gotta be up guess what I was doing I was setting alarms I was setting alarms wake up at 3am post this video go back to sleep wake up and you got hundreds of thousands of views y’all this is it’s right here I’m not making it up it’s right here
(18:15) you see it hello that seven million viewed video brought so much hate so many trolls but do you think I care you think I care because that seven million view video also has 753 000 likes y’all that’s almost a million likes that’s also a four second video with the text on the screen tapping into psychology are y’all hearing me I’m giving you the juice this may be my favorite video thus far because it can literally change your life this is a video that if you apply what I’m telling y’all you can see results instantly I
(18:51) got a lot of gems on my channel but most of them take work and takes time this ain’t one of them baby you can do this today okay you can be up 10 000 more followers this next week if y’all are paying attention if y’all are taking y’all notes if y’all want this big Bank so that video also has 2600 comments I probably have blocked at least a thousand people from this video though and over 235 000 downloads what I ain’t gonna lie though after I posted that video I took a break I was like oh TikTok it’s too much
(19:31) I know I just like my little hub my people who know me because the other thing about TikTok I’m gonna tell y’all that’s at the end let’s let’s run through the rest sorry y’all y’all know I like to talk so number two we’re getting down to the final two y’all these two things baby change everything you hear me changed everything the number two thing is I was very strategic with my panned videos so you get up to three videos that you can pan at the top of your page and people will
(20:06) just paint anything people a lot of the times people will pin their most viral TikTok like that’s the only like they want you to know I got a million views no baby be very strategic with the pen video so one of my pen videos is a video of me replying to somebody’s comment in a video and she’s commented I’ll be gatekeeping with the info like me jazz on yay Jazz you can’t be talking about me gatekeeper who who who baby who gatekeeper me me girl I was in shock I was like I was seven I was too stunned to speak
(20:46) okay anyways I took that as an opportunity to use my TikTok features and I brought out the green screen yeah and I talked my and I showed my channel gatekeeper who baby I’m the queen of the resources are you serious right now so anyways that is my pen video that video brought me over 9 000 new subscribers okay because it was pinned at the top of my page are y’all picking up what I’m putting down please if y’all are picking this up can I get some gems can I get some hearts can I get some sprinkle sprinkles in the
(21:22) comment like like give me something and let me know y’all here with me right now okay that video has over 82 000 views 82 000 views and another thing I would do is I would promote my panned videos in my other videos so I’ll be like you know check out the pin video for more info so I’m sending traffic every day as I’m uploading new videos y’all get what I’m saying and then another pen video that’s the other one with the Journey of how I you know started making a hundred dollars my
(21:56) first month selling digital products that stayed there because that brought in like 30k for me promoting my products in a way of using the green screen again y’all don’t let that go over your head use your pen video strategically don’t just put your most viral video on there because you want people to know you get views we don’t care about that okay to piggyback off of that another thing I would do is if I was uploading videos around a certain topic like I was talking about YouTube automation for a
(22:26) while I would have one of those pen videos about YouTube automation that you know I may have done a lot of information on it and then my other videos I’m pointing you back to that video raising the views pointing you back you get what I’m saying hopefully y’all understand what I’m saying this would change somebody’s life ah moving on to number one y’all number one I’m really giving it to y’all do y’all hear me I if you have not gave this video a thumbs up I’m about to come
(22:56) through the screen because I see you and I don’t care if you’re on your phone watching from Sephora you better go to the YouTube app okay on your TV okay give this video a thumbs up please thank you that lets me know y’all at least enjoyed it maybe you too lazy to comment that’s fine but you can at least hit that that thumb like be for real the number one thing y’all I don’t know where I first heard this but I saw it in somebody TikTok video I can’t remember the Creator I’m
(23:26) so sorry someone said that the more time somebody watches your TikTok video the more TikTok pushes it out that’s why those videos are shorter than seven seconds perform the best because most people will watch it again and watch it again so that’s two to three views per person so what that tells me little old me is that I need people to watch this over and over so if I’m putting text on the screen hello y’all listen if you ain’t picked up nothing else I said I need you to pick this up mm-hmm
(23:56) what that told me is I’m only leaving texts on screen for three to four seconds at a time so if I’m doing something in a video and I got multiple texts I’m putting on screen it’s only stand up three seconds that first part three seconds but here comes next part three seconds because you miss it you only you can’t even finish reading it that’s what you gotta do watch it over but seriously y’all that’s number one and people comment I can’t read it I’ve been watching three times
(24:25) sprinkle sprinkle sprinkle y’all sprinkle sprinkles so those things is what allowed me to gain over 90 000 followers in 43 days over 10 million views and money was made y’all know I’m gonna get the money so I don’t really care about those numbers we care about that so again if y’all want to get on your Zoom and kick it with me on zoom and we can brainstorm some content ideas for you I need you to go secure EOC Saturday June 17th 11 A.
(24:59) M central time okay y’all have to check your own time zone to see when that is you have to be there you have to be present if you are not available do not get a seat and take that seat from somebody else please please don’t do that because there will not be a replay even for you if you in there there’s no replay so show up on time and be alert and be present I’ll see y’all on Yazoo now another thing I want to know about TikTok is I am pivoting I am moving in a New Direction this is my last year
(25:27) creating educational content so I am already you know planning that transition and I will be transitioning my TikTok so I’m not really sure how this is going to go but so far so good I’m pivoting away from the trending sounds and everything basically that I just told y’all because of the new content I will be creating now there’s more than one way to skin a cat y’all okay training sounds work I showed you please present a pudding baby but other things also work and another thing that really works on TikTok is
(25:56) storytelling and I and I’m too exceed at that as well talk my yeah yeah I love storytelling I love getting people riled up I love waiting for the climax I love just being animated when I talk about things and TikTok loves that so I already have a video on my TikTok account but basically my move out the country I already gave y’all My Little Life Update I do not live in America if you don’t know I actually live in Mexico right now and I basically did a video on that and it performed very well so that is the
(26:28) new type of content that I will be transitioning into and remember how I also said that I was editing these videos inside of TikTok but for that type of content absolutely not absolutely not I won’t be doing it so those videos are edited outside of TikTok I also have another TikTok account that I don’t use nearly as much but I have a video on that one as well that had like a hundred and sixty thousand views and it was also a storytelling like type of video where I was going to get my hair done and I set
(26:58) it up to where you know I knew people was going to think it wasn’t going to come out well and it came out beautifully but storytelling is extremely valuable on TikTok and that is the new pivoted Direction I’m going in and like I said y’all I won’t be editing these on TikTok I’ll be editing them outside of the app so if you really don’t know how to edit if you are a complete beginner a platform that is super super good for beginners is in video I talked about in video in a different video of mine where it was a
(27:24) sponsored video from them but their editing software is literally like chef’s kiss if you don’t know nothing about nothing because they actually give you video templates that you can literally use and just plug in your videos and go from there and you got a beautiful video like somebody professional did it so I’ll leave their information in the description something else that they’re doing I haven’t seen yet and I may do a different video on this because it’s about Ai and I’m trying to talk about AI more but girls
(27:49) just so much to keep up with in the AI space they actually have something I have not seen y’all it’s phenomenal but it’s terrifying because it’s like damn the future is here but they basically have a video editing AI which will allow you to create videos by basically just telling AI what you wanted to do what you want to see in the video they’re light years they have anybody with their technology so I will leave their information in the description y’all I think the AI editing is still on the
(28:15) wait list I’m on the wait list I’m like I need that definitely look into that y’all using video again I have a whole nother video on my Channel about in video and I’ll link that in the description as well I said I was going to show y’all my journey and if you want to see that I’ll just put that here so I literally have an album titled TikTok growth and it was about my TikTok July 2022 I had 104 followers and that was me like I said y’all basically repurposing my YouTube videos and just
(28:43) putting it on TikToks no traction I was doing that for a while getting a little growth a little growth little by little doing that is what got me my first thousand followers and that took about one week to hit a thousand one week one week okay now now if we go to when I decided to switch it up I was hitting five ten thousand followers in days in days it’s like what the hell is going on y’all can just see here how the number is literally just going up one day I went from 3 300 followers to 9 000. y’all can see the date November
(29:17) 16th to November 17th that’s 6 000 followers in one day and you can even see the likes go up it went from 31 000 likes to ninety five thousand likes and then that same day I hit 10K and it went to 103 000 likes and then the next day I hit 15K and then the next day I hit 18K and then the next day 19 day two days later 24K one week later I was at forty thousand y’all this is crazy so yeah it took 43 days and I have not been as consistent because like I said y’all TikTok is just real you know it’s a younger crowd
(30:01) um and it is people who don’t know you and they’re just looking for something to complain about most times and girl I don’t be for all that like I’ve been needing my breaks but I do believe that it was also due to the nature of the content I’m creating because it is about making money and they just perceive that type of content now in such a Negative light which is also another reason I want to get out of this space because it’s like yeah you can sit here and listen to me for free with no problem
(30:28) but the minute I tell you I have an actual class for sale with even more valuable information now now the world is ending it’s just a different energy over there and I’m hoping that with me transitioning more into travel and more into fashion and more into lifestyle content that I will attract a different breed I’m hoping that y’all can stay up to date with my TikTok Journey you know if you want to follow me if you aren’t already that’s fine I’m ending this video y’all it was not supposed to
(30:56) be this long girl I got carried away but I hope y’all enjoyed it nonetheless all the links are in the description and I will see y’all in my next video [Music]

The post BLOW UP YOUR TIKTOK OVERNIGHT! (00:00) if you love photos and captions and carousels I don’t think that you have to completely abandon those I’m never going to be the one to say you can only post video that is your only option however in the current landscape of social media in 2023 we really are living in this video first world on Instagram on Tick Tock and of course other platforms today I’m very excited to be joined by jarrah Bean if you don’t know who Jared is she is a short form video strategist and speaker who helps service-based businesses and content creators grow
(00:40) their businesses with video her course is called the video editing Rodeo Jara welcome to the show how you doing today I’m doing so well thank you so much for having me I am excited to have you on the show today Jared and I are going to explore short form video strategy but before we go there let’s roll back the clock to your story I would love to hear how’d you get into short form video Start wherever you want to start we’re gonna rewind back kind of a far ways here because the the origins
(01:11) have have uh begin when I’m like a wee girl on my mom’s lap so my mom is in the world a video she works on Films commercials TV so from a young age I’ve been sitting on my mom’s lap as she edits different perfume commercials and fashion shows and documentaries and so video and film and very much editing have been in my blood since those early early days and as I grew up anytime I would have a school project like I remember in eighth grade having a biology project on the artipithecus
(01:45) Rambis and rather than like create a poster or you know have a talking presentation I would create these like feature length uh videos as my final project and I think my teacher still shows that to this day granted it was on VHS so hopefully he’s transferred that over by now so video’s been in in my realm for quite some time and I grew up in New York City I graduated and went off to college in Los Angeles I went to USC went in Undeclared didn’t know what I want to focus on ended up
(02:18) being a fine art major with an emphasis in graphic design so in that creative world like I’ve always loved art I’ve always expressed myself visually in some shape or form and so I graduate from USC I get a job as a freelance graphic designer working at a advertising company and funny enough as most of us do these days we all have to wear multiple hats so yes I was doing graphic design but I remember teaching myself after effects because I had to learn these little animations for the different presentations that the the like the salesmen were doing and I edited videos little
(02:59) promo videos so yes it was graphic design but I’m still kind of learning these skills I’m still creating video projects if I think to the next place that I worked at it was a fashion startup I edited their Kickstarter video that made forty thousand dollars so once again this video creative thread is weaving in and out of my life well we come up to 2015.
(03:26) I’m still a graphic designer but I ended up working at a startup that wasn’t the best let’s just say they definitely kind of manipulated me a bit didn’t treat me so nicely and I remember one day I’m standing in the mirror at a wework and I’m exhausted I’m probably getting paid less than minimum wage at this point with the weekends that I’m working in late hours and I part my hair in the mirror and there’s a bald spot on my head I started to lose hair due to how stressed I was from this job it was also during
(03:59) this time I realized I was struggling with social anxiety I started to see a therapist for that so I look back at that time as just challenging dealing with some stuff and that set the scene for me making a positive change in my life now at the time did I go I’m gonna make a positive change in my life not necessarily but hindsight’s 2020 and there was definitely something pushing me to pivoting in some shape or form now at the time I had an Instagram account for my hand lettering
(04:33) I used to draw letters and spend hours on it and that was the first time I really tapped into the power of community on social media this is like pre-2015 we’re talking like 2013 or so I remember connecting with different artists from all around the world and collaborating them on these drawing projects so I had that in my back pocket when I decided to start a workout program in 2015.
(04:59) and I started that workout program it’s called or was called BBG uh bikini bodyguide by Kayla it’sinus it was a total movement at the time and I started an Instagram account workout Bean at the time to accompany my journey to help hold me accountable and one of the main reasons why I started that Instagram account was because I felt the power of community from my drawing account that I had already had for about a year or two so I start this workout program I start this Instagram account and this was the positive change this was the Catalyst towards it sounds so
(05:38) dramatic but literally changing the rest of my life because what happened was at the time the word influencer didn’t exist so I can label it as at that now but I became a fitness influencer without there even really being a word for it I became an Adidas Ambassador I then transitioned to becoming a soul cycle instructor which is spinning so Fitness just took over my life in the best way possible in addition to social media it was this beautiful coupling of these two forces that just brought me so much joy Community creative expression and so on and that went
(06:14) on until about mid 2018 I had grown my Instagram account I was uh pretty much working full-time as an influencer doing brand Partnerships but I decided to leave Soul cycle pursue that full-time and that’s when I entered kind of a little bit of an unknown era I think Soul Cycle and Fitness had been so part of my identity for so long that to no longer have Fitness was a bit of a shock to the system and it was a year and a half of sort of rediscovering myself again and feeling quite lost if I’m being totally totally honest by the end of 2019
(06:52) it’s like I got I got to do something here I I need more I feel pulled to do more than just create content and I don’t mean that in a condescending way because one can be a full-time content creator and be absolutely fulfilled but I just wanted to add something else to my toolkit hired a business coach and that was my official pivot into the world of social media coaching and education so with my almost five or so years of experience in social media at that point building my own brand my own account I then begin to transfer those skills to my students so
(07:29) I created a group coaching program and I ran that program for about seven years and that is what also helped to launch my speaking career uh speaking on stages Keynotes as well as working with some major brands like Estee Lauder and Mac Bobby Brown Adobe ATT and that really brings us to current day where I am still very much a content creator I I love creating for Instagram for tick tock video specifically I also have the coaching aspect of my business with one-on-one as well as my programs and that third pillar is the education and speaking um on on stages and virtually as well
(08:13) so that’s jarrah in a bit of a nutshell for you that’s a really cool nutshell so Jara who are you um creating content for like who is that ideal somebody who might be listening who might want to check out you like who is your who is your customer Avatar I guess here is the overlay okay I’m gonna explain something first because it’s going to make sense when I give you my answer every single person who is using social media to support some sort of a goal Vision business is a content creator and that’s what I think is a little bit different than
(08:52) a content creator and an influencer an influencer might be really working towards those brand deals and Partnerships whereas a content creator is not necessarily working towards those Partnerships but they’re using social media in a strategic way so we are all content creators if we’re showing up on social media for something specific whether it’s a mission whether it’s our business Etc now if you are a business let’s say you’re a service based business or product based business you are still
(09:21) a content creator but we’re just adding on that additional layer of your business so everyone’s a content creator and then from that pool we have people selling specific things Services products and that’s where that business this layer is added on so in terms of my ideal person I say content creators absolutely I really specialize in building personal brand helping people show up authentically finding their voice and their confidence their secret sauce as I call it but in
(09:50) addition to that I love helping I would say more so service based businesses because they are the face of the brand and so that content creator aspect really translates really beautifully to their social media strategy but we get to add on that layer of oh how do we promote our business how do I talk about my services how do I get more clients Etc so content creators as well as service based businesses excellent so there are a lot of people listening right now that first of all we’re
(10:19) completely locked into your story but might not be sold on the idea of creating short form video so what do you want to say to those people because there are lots of people who might be uh comfortable writing or using photography or images but maybe when it comes to short form video they just haven’t really understood um why it’s so critical what do you want to say to those people couple things couple things I want to say to those people first and foremost I don’t think that if you love photos and captions and carousels I don’t think that you have to completely abandon
(10:59) those I’m never going to be the one to say you can only post video that is your only option however in the current landscape of social media in 2023 we really are living in this video first world on Instagram on Tick Tock and of course other platforms as well and I think when people are resistant to video a lot of times it comes with the overwhelm of video video has a lot more moving parts to it than just a photo and a caption with video sometimes we have to show up on camera we have to show ourselves use our voice there’s editing involved that’s a whole other other layer
(11:47) of technical skills and things that you have to get used to then we have adding text and music like whoa we just went from a photo and a caption to listing off like five to ten different things that we now have to understand and specialize in so the first place that I want to start is that video can be simple video can be simple and effective I know as we’re scrolling through our reels Tab and it’s currently in the moment because reels is having a a moment where we got all this trendy editing and it’s a little bit more aesthetic than Tick Tock is and it can feel
(12:23) like holy cow in order for me to be successful I need to do all these transitions I need to have the high quality stuff and sure that is an option if you are someone who has those technical skills if you’re someone who’s really driven or has the time to pursue that type of visual aesthetic content by all means however video can be as simple as setting up your cam camera right here as I’m talking on my desk putting it on a little tripod or you know what sometimes I don’t even use a tripod I lean it against a plant or a water bottle or the lamp and pressing record
(12:57) letting that run as I’m typing as I’m talking boom We trim that down that’s about 10 seconds find a trending song put text on top and you know we want to make sure that we’re still delivering value so I’m not just saying oh just like put some text on it we want to think about what that text and that caption is but that is how simple video can be so I always like to start off with that to um convey that video can really be this low barrier to entry if we see all sides of it and not just
(13:29) the super fancy stuff the other thing that I love so much about video is the authenticity Factor when we show up on video and show ourselves when we use our voice there’s this instant transfer of energy that you will not get in a million years from a photo and a caption and I know it can be absolutely terrifying to show up in that way to reveal yourself in that way a lot of people have fear around using their voice and talking to camera and seeing themselves but once again social media has evolved and it’s no longer this glossy highlight reel I think people are really
(14:13) wanting to connect with the human the realness the genuine the imperfections they want to see themselves in you in some shape or form so we don’t need to show up perfectly which once again really lowers that barrier to entry for anyone who’s feeling super resistant to it at the moment excellent okay so we’re going to talk about strategy specifically uh with reels and Tick Tock and there’s a lot of people who um are listening who um don’t know where to start right so let’s
(14:47) start with like what’s the first thing we need to be thinking about uh before we start creating reels I have a three-step process so I’d love to walk you through that three-step process but each step has kind of a lot going in it so stop me at any point but where I want to begin of course is with step one so step one with where the heck do I begin with video is the content ideation we want to come up with strategic and intentional ideas that make sense for our business or if you’re not selling something that makes sense for your personal brand okay we have that general
(15:24) direction but then how do we come up with those ideas you want to zero in on your content pillars some people say content buckets and there’s a lot of information out there about content pillars and the best way to think about it is we are just sectioning off we are grouping together different parts of you and your business and that sectioning off then allows us to get really organized and then from those bigger pillars or Buckets come come up with more granular ideas so it’s kind of
(15:58) just following this flow I’ve been teaching content pillars for years now and I have my proprietary mixture of pillars that I love to walk you through and there are three types so there’s three types of pillars and those that’s what helps us come up with individual pillars first we have the expertise pillars the expertise pillars is all about providing value we want to teach what you know give advice shed light on things speak to your client or your customers pain and pleasure points it’s really value-packed so that one when someone consumes
(16:35) a piece of expertise content they maybe want to save it or maybe they’re sending it to a friend come back to it later but they’re benefiting from that piece of content in some shape or form when it comes to your expertise pillars more often than not you’re going to want to have three of them so can you figure out oh out of all my expertise out of all the things that I’m good at of course that pertains to your business how can I categorize them into approximately three categories could it
(17:05) be mindset nutrition and movement for a personal trainer could it be messaging personal branding and converting followers to clients for a social media coach keep it simple it’s not groundbreaking by any means but at most you’ll have maybe four or five at the absolute least two three is usually the sweet spot so that’s our first type of content pillar expertise quick question um so when we’re coming up with these content pillars it sounds like we should pick at least under this expertise category things that we’re comfortable talking about that we feel like our
(17:44) our domain expertise for example if it was for me I’d probably say entrepreneurship content creation and marketing you know what I mean like those are the things that I tend to talk about a lot right and they’re distinctly unique from each other just like mindset nutrition and movement are unique from each other and from them can spawn a whole bunch of ideas is that what I’m hearing exactly hit the mail on the head beautiful summary of that okay keep going so our second type of pillar is
(18:13) secret sauce and Secret Sauce is just my fun little word for essentially authenticity if you are a content creator or if you are a service based business you are going to want to share some of you share your personality share that humanness that I mentioned earlier now when someone says show up authentically as a tip or a piece of advice it’s really well intentioned and we all probably go oh yeah show up authentically like great but then you go wait a second how do I do it yeah like how do I do that that sounds great but transforming the real life you into
(18:49) the digital you it is really challenging it’s something that took me a very long time to do myself and then to actually translate that and teach that as a whole other level so what I’ve done is taken this framework for secret sauce and divided it into four pillars so there are four secret sauce pillars we have foundational Secret Sauce this focuses more on your past then your present so we want to think of the challenges that you’ve overcome achievements pivots any of the big stories and moments that have brought you to where you are today that’s foundational next we
(19:27) have personal secret sauce and this is very much focused on the opposite it’s the present moment it’s what are your hobbies what do you like to do on the weekend who’s the human outside of the business what are the things that are making up your life in the moment right here right now then we have professional secret sauce professional as it sounds focuses more on the professional side of you so who is the entrepreneur what’s the founder story what are your values as a
(19:56) business or an entrepreneur how do you do things differently um really focusing once again on the human but very much through the lens of your business lastly and perhaps my personal favorite we have light-hearted secret sauce and this is as it sounds this is the more silly goofy random uh parts of you that are just usually the most fun to share via stories and that’s the secret sauce framework foundational personal professional light-hearted the really cool thing about this framework is that you do not have to show up or use all four pillars you can pick and
(20:36) choose and this provides Nuance to the tip of show up authentically and the resistance that people usually feel towards it either not knowing how to do it or thinking oh gosh well in order to show up authentically do I have to share everything I don’t want to share everything you don’t have to share everything you can choose so maybe you are really heading in the buckets of uh foundational and professional but personal and light-hearted either you don’t want to do or does not make
(21:05) sense for your business now or at this time maybe you reconsider in the future so not only does it make this concept of showing up authentically more tangible but it gives you options as well allowing you to create boundaries if you need them when it comes to sharing you and your life online this is uh this is a fascinating one and I really love and I’m grateful that you’re putting these categories together because it’s helping me not just with short form video both any video right
(21:32) um this is even the written word I mean this stuff is applicable to almost any kind of content but the um the idea of like you know to show up authentically for a lot of people they think it means to show every Scar and every challenge they’ve ever faced in their life and I love how it could just be stories about experiences that you’ve had in the past and it could be uh if you are light-hearted showing some of those mistakes you made right and when you’re recording instead
(22:02) of editing them out is that kind of what I’m hearing you say that kind of stuff absolutely and and what I love about Secret Sauce is that yes we have these categories but it’s also up to you for interpretation so you might consider sharing the outtakes as light-hearted but I might consider that professional because you know podcast business this is a professional moment and it just to me gives Dimension to secret sauce and it’s all open up for interpretation and it’s whatever makes
(22:30) sense for you and those are starting categories but in terms of labels like we can move things around however it makes sense in your brain but what you described sharing those outtakes perfect example of a type of Secret Sauce yes Okay so we’ve got uh content pillar number one is expertise content number two is Secret Sauce we just talked about a bunch of little sub pillars what’s the next these I think you have the third one right yes our third type of pillar is the business pillar and the beautiful thing about having these three types of pillars
(23:02) expertise Secrets awesome business is that they all work symbiotically so if you imagine like three circles representing each type of pillar overlapping and we have the middle section where all three touch that is your content strategy and when you uh Share value share your expertise when you share the humanness it’s going to make it that much easier to dive into the business pillar a lot of people have fear around selling or talking about what they do or feeling pushy and that’s
(23:31) a whole other subject but it should feel a lot better when you incorporate the other two types of pillars to begin with now within the business pillar we’re going to subdivide this as well just as we did expertise as well as Secret Sauce but this time we’re going to subdivide it into two different subpillars we have hard selling and we have stop selling and I love creating this distinction because oftentimes people equate hard selling to the only time type of selling they think it’s buy this sign up now it’s the selling that you do during a launch or promotion
(24:05) and yes that is absolutely selling but that’s hard selling and there’s nothing bad about it we gotta do it when when we have a Time specific thing or for wanting to make a sale or make money so it’s absolutely part of the business pillar but where the Nuance comes in is the secret oh sorry is the soft selling uh pillar because this is where we can be more nuanced and a little bit subtle about presenting our business about talking and sharing about what we do or what we sell so let me give you some examples when it comes to soft selling you want to ask yourself
(24:39) how can I creatively feature what I do or how can I share the value of what I do so when it comes to creatively featuring if you create a day in the life blog where you’re walking your dog drinking coffee hanging out with a friend but you’re also recording a podcast responding to speaking clients doing a coaching call and you can you you interweave all those together in one video it’s a soft sell because you’re not asking anyone to do anything but you’re saying hey just
(25:13) so you know this is something I do this is part of my business if we think about sharing the value of what you do that’s when things like testimonials come in reviews sharing client Transformations sharing press features essentially hard selling is when you’re talking on the business like this is on the business content versus soft selling it’s around it’s like the subjects that surround your business and that also incorporate other parts of your life and soft selling is something you can
(25:47) do all the time versus hard selling is something you want to do part of the time so that makes up our our business pillar and completes the three types of pillars that help us with our content ideation in terms of coming up with specific and strategic content ideas that are born out of those those pillars I want to reinforce the value proposition of soft selling um if you tell a story and it’s got a moral and a value proposition to it and you just plant in the middle of the story I
(26:22) was talking to a client and this happened believe it or not what you’re doing is you’re soft selling that you take clients right and what would he even notice is it but Sublimity they’re like oh Jara takes clients oh I didn’t even know that right I mean that’s an example of soft selling it could be the most subtle little thing yes like I posted on um a long-form piece of content recently on all the social channels that take long form and I I shared a story and right in the middle of it I
(26:49) said I was talking to someone on my team about launching social media marketing world and you know it was just embedded right in the middle of a long story about why I should create more content but it was it was carefully crafted to be in there to be like oh yeah social media marketing world I should check that out right but it was subtle and if you do that over and over again and then people love your content all of a sudden they’re gonna go check you out or they’re going to check
(27:12) out your product right now I’m ahead yeah and and it can be that simple it can be that simple just dropping in on a podcast and having that line or mentioning it in your stories or a sentence in a caption and and that’s how subtle and sort of dainty soft selling can be which means once again we can incorporate it almost daily into our social media content Okay so we’ve spent a really lot of valuable times specifically talking about coming up with creative ideas for Content specifically
(27:43) for short form videos now you said this is a three-step process and there’s lots of little sub there’s pillars and subpillars and all that fun stuff but there’s this is the first step so the next step good thing that’s definitely the most complicated kind of dense step so whoo we got step one done it’s the most fun too I think because this is like you can get creative here right yeah exactly exactly so we got the hardest work done I think at this point and step two I think out of all three steps is definitely the easiest and when I explain it I
(28:14) think most people listening you’re gonna go oh I know this already and jara’s just kind of putting a name to it so with step one we came up with content ideas but when it comes to social media the idea isn’t the finished product we have to turn that idea into a piece of content and I’m going to focus specifically on video so how do we take an idea and turn it into a video well if you are able to label the four most common video formats it then search the bridge the gap so the four most common video formats for reels and Tick Tock is either talking to camera
(28:51) voice over a text overlay or a trend and these are pretty much exactly as they sound if you do a talking to camera video you are talking into the camera and delivering that message if you’re doing a voiceover you’re using b-roll which is just different shots depending on the subject matter and you’re adding in your voice as a layer if you do a text overlay we have what I described earlier like a shot of me typing at my desk I plop some text on top and that text conveys the message of
(29:19) that content idea and then when it comes to Trends well that opens up a whole world because we have trending content on both reels and Tick Tock that can be a lip dub that can be a transition that could be pointing towards on screen so that is a format that has a lot of sub formats within that but once we have that idea we can go okay well how do I bring it to life let me identify those four formats what makes sense also what do I have time for today because doing a text overlay will like
(29:47) likely be a lot quicker than talking to camera for example so that’s the second step identify buying those four formats and choosing what your content idea is going to be within those four formats okay I’ve got a couple questions um when we are recording uh direct to camera um I just recently got this cool little DJI mic thing I don’t know if you’ve ever seen these things but I’m showing these for the listening audience no these little tiny microphones that you can attach to your iPhone and then you can put a lapel on it and uh it’s really good audio
(30:23) right but um and then you have the audio separate if you wanted to all that fun stuff it’s it’s more relevant for people that are doing long form video or and want to maybe make podcasts out of it but do you find that you’re just talking to your phone and you don’t even really worry about the audio a hundred percent I’m pretty low Tech and this is coming from someone who has a video background like I could be high tech I have a fancy camera I have lighting but because short form video content
(30:50) is so casual and it’s nature for the most part and because simple not super high-tech content can be impactful and effective like I got a business to run so even though I have the ability to create that fancy content and use high-end equipment I don’t feel like I need to so yes most of the time when I’m talking or well actually all the time when I’m talking to camera I’m setting my phone up and as I mentioned earlier oftentimes I’m not even getting my tripod out I’m that lazy I’ll put
(31:21) it up on the windowsill over there and kind of you know go up on my toes a little bit or bend down if I need to and call it a day for the majority of my content okay so um I found that sometimes if you hold your phone in your hand the wrong way you could be covering up the mic because I think the mic is on the bottom of the phone isn’t it or have you not found that oh I haven’t I haven’t come into that issue I do think it is on the bottom though so okay let’s talk about framing
(31:45) because I know you have that video background so like when we’re actually recording ourselves are we talking like arm length away typically and and how do we need to even worry about where we are in the frame because anybody who has a video background as you know there’s rules of thirds and all this kind of stuff um should be really close up does it look a little different on on one iPhone versus an Android do you understand what I’m asking as far as absolutely so I’m sure
(32:08) people will have different opinions on this so I don’t think my my opinion is is necessarily my way or the highway but how I approach it usually I as a creator of content as well as a consumer of content if I’m looking at someone and we’ll just keep it to talking to camera for now I do like for there to be a bit of a a little bit of a distance I think sometimes when it’s just your face filling the whole frame it’s kind of confronting and a little bit suffocating visually so having a little bit of space from the camera where I can see the top of your head
(32:40) messed up or something or belly button yeah let’s say at least kind of chest up belly button up um I think is nice as well because then we can kind of see how you gesture and how you move as well the other important thing it’s not just the distance from the camera but I call it Headroom how much space is above your head and the top of the video frame oftentimes some will have a way too much Headroom where you are in the lower half of the frame and then half of the frame the rest
(33:09) is Headroom then you are you need to like lower your tripod or you know kind of stand up on your tippy toes a little bit or sometimes the head will be right at the top and then we want to back up a little bit so that’s also something to consider is not just the distance but your Headroom and these are these are more polishing pieces so I don’t want to scare anyone away who’s super beginner and and worry them too much about this but when you kind of get the general hang of things then
(33:34) you can start to worry or just think and consider about these other additional visual considerations let’s talk about voiceover for a little bit I think people understand what I mean I’m sorry what uh text overlay because I think people understand voice over presumably would be you’re recording with the better camera on the other side of your phone and then you’re just going to be recording your audio and then somehow sewing the whole thing together that’s really what you mean by voiceover
(33:58) am I right you could if you’re a podcaster you could use a podcasting rig to record the darn thing right and then just put a bunch of video to it is that as simple as it is that’s as simple as it is and I think the best example of that is a day in the life video where you’re waking up walking the dog we’re working out grabbing coffee whatever I’m just talking about the generic things but you are guiding us through that by adding in your voice and you’re not you’re not like I’m
(34:23) waking up you you just get the shot and then you add in that voice over track later on as you’re in editing mode so let’s talk about text overlay like what exactly how is that different than what we just talked about with these two different first formats text overlay the way that I think about it is separate from talking to camera and voice over because text overlay does not use your voice now well caveat when you are talking to camera and when you are doing voice over I do recommend
(34:52) adding text because there’s a whole strategic way to use text but when I specifically say format number three of text overlay that is specific to video text no voice and it’s a great option for someone who needs to create quickly it’s also a great stepping stone for someone who is really terrified to use their voice and maybe they’re not ready yet and we’ve got to work our way up there so it’s just a great option for both speed as well as um sort of comfort level as well okay so just
(35:24) so I’m clear you film either yourself or something else maybe it’s the way that the sausage is being made in the factory or whatever yup yup and then maybe you just put some words up there and add a music track and that’s it and that’s it but the the words of this are very important because every single piece of content has some sort of message if we go back to Step One something is either sharing your expertise something is sharing about you as a human or something is sharing about
(35:50) your business so with text overlay actually let me talk about voiceover and talking to camera the way that the main message the main point is delivered for the most part is going to be via your voice in text overlay how is the main message delivered there’s no voice so it has to be via the text that you put on screen so we don’t want to just like when I say plop on text I’m not being flippant about it but I do mean yeah we’re just putting some text on there but that text is what
(36:21) delivers the main message of the content idea now the caption can complement that so it doesn’t have to be the entire idea but we want at least part of that main message in the text that you overlay okay um I believe this is my last question on this particular step which is talking about all these different formats duration of the actual final product my understanding is that I don’t is it true you can do three minutes on uh Tick Tock now and 10 minutes 10 minutes okay yeah and
(36:54) reels is what 60 seconds now I I think we’re at 90. I think we’re at 90 unreal so how long should we make these videos is really where I’m going with this hmm okay I got a couple I got a couple thoughts about this so my initial thought is that I don’t want to prescribe a specific length because sometimes we need all let’s say 60 seconds at most just to keep things simple to deliver that message which will really round out that story so I never want to say oh only make short videos
(37:24) however we do have to think about retention which is how long someone’s watching your video for and average watch time so if you are in the mode of creating around 60 second long videos all the time and your views are quite low I invite you to pull up your analytics both on Tick Tock and Instagram and look at that retention or average watch time and you might be really surprised to see wow I’m making these 60 second long videos and people are watching three to five seconds and that’s why the views are so low it’s telling Instagram where it’s telling Tick Tock ah this is
(37:56) an interesting I’m gonna just you know I’m gonna swipe away and therefore it’s not going to push it out to more people so that’s where we start to get a little bit tricky is that the lower the the shorter a video is the higher the chance is for retention because it’s easier to retain someone for 10 seconds than it is 60 seconds but then we get into the nuanced conversation of well sometimes we need we truly do need that fully that full six 60 seconds and sometimes those videos can
(38:22) absolutely perform well one thing I will add to this is that when I do content audits these days I would say pretty much every single time no matter the business no matter the type of person people are jamming way too much information into every single post and so when you create regardless of the format I want you to ask yourself is this a bite-sized piece of content is this actionable as well if you are talking about like a full customer Journey like this is what a customer journey is
(38:57) and you’re listing off all the things that’s going to go over people’s heads because it’s too broad and it’s just way way too much versus if you took that one big idea and then squeezed it like lemon to make a nice little fresh juice of content lemonade and got really specific with all the ideas that make up a customer Journey For example can you describe what an opt-in is how do you grow your email list all these different things these ideas are much more tangible and
(39:28) potentially actionable as well so you might be making a really awesome 60 second video that covers a broad topic but it’s not actually going to perform well on social media because people are craving more of those bite-sized actionable pieces of content outstanding Okay the third step in your process is drum roll please drum roll please thank you for that step number three is the optimization and there’s a couple things within optimization and it’s not necessarily a finite
(39:59) list I find myself kind of uh rolling through the top three sometimes and sometimes those top three things change depending on what I’m seeing or perhaps depending on what the audience needs um when it comes to optimization we want to think how are we polishing off this piece of content to essentially perform better so a really great one that I think most people are aware of these days is the hook I consider the hook the first about three seconds of your video and usually when I say the hook I’m thinking about what is being said verbally however we also can think
(40:40) about what’s being shown visually because we have about three seconds to capture someone’s attention actually less I think and what are we showing what are we saying in order to entice them to keep watching so a common mistake that I see with hooks is people pausing for about one full second which I know sounds short but that’s an eternity in short form video content lands pausing before anything comes out of their mouth or they start with hey everyone how’s it going today today I’m
(41:10) going to show you XYZ when you have an intro that says hey everyone how’s it going that’s really nice maybe for stories but for our reels and Tick Tock I want you to be brutal and mix that out and just start with exactly what you’re going to say if you want to start optimizing Your Hooks then we can think of oh what are things that we can say Beyond just here’s what I’m going to show you today such as here are the three things that are going to change what you think about XYZ subject
(41:35) or how comes no one’s talking about XYZ subject I want to dive into that there’s a million hooks you can google google them but it’s essentially how am I enticing someone to keep watching quick question on the hooks um do you recommend recording the hooks after you’ve kind of finished up your content and then dial in that hook in because you can always add the hook in editing right can’t you absolutely absolutely apps one who come to them ly as you are recording or perhaps as you’re writing
(42:05) if you write out a script or bullet points you can let the content flow a little bit and then maybe you watch the content maybe you edit down the content first and then as long as you know you’re in the same outfit the same lighting I mean you could change up your outfit and then we have a little bit of a pattern interrupt but most likely recording around the same time in space you can just add that in later on if the hook comes to you during your process absolutely excellent okay what
(42:32) else is uh part of this process of refinement if you will another one one is pattern interrupting in pattern interrupting is a technique in editing where you are making different cuts to your video to your Clips in order to keep people engaged so if I record a talking to camera video about how to grow your community and it’s 60 seconds long and I just talked to the camera for 60 seconds and I just trim off the end in the beginning so there’s no dead space and upload that that video has zero
(43:05) pattern interrupts however if I take that 60 seconds and I cut out any ums I cut out any odds I essentially condense time a little bit and there’s clear cuts and I’m creating Clips in my timeline that’s the most basic form of a pattern interrupt it’s jumping from One Clip to the next to hold visual tension we can get a little bit more exciting with our pattern interrupts if it makes sense for the content and for your business where maybe I’m talking to you first in front of
(43:36) a white wall and then I change to talk to you in front of a blue wall or maybe I’m recording super high and then I change the angle and I’m super low where I change my hair like that’s a much more dramatic pattern interrupt in order to keep people engaged so that’s really important in general but I think when we’re creating talking to camera videos very essential to hold people’s attention with those pattern interrupts what do you want to say about captions and or cover photos
(44:05) when it comes to struggle a little right when they’ve created this reel it’s like wait I have the real do I need to say anything in the caption and I always like to think about it this way your video your real will either contain the full message the full content idea and the caption can just be you know a cute little fluffy one or two liner or the video will contain part of the idea and then entice people to then go to the caption so that’s great balance of course you can go
(44:41) the route of the real has the full idea the full message and then you reiterate that in the caption if you just want to hit people with both the video and the written so there’s nothing wrong with that but in order to work smarter and not harder and not have to write a whole caption out if you don’t want to either contain the whole message in the Reel with a you know little complimentary caption or entice people to learn the rest no more in the caption that’s how you usually think about
(45:05) it cover photos incredibly important because you want to think about those as the hook when someone lands on your Instagram profile or your Tick Tock page if someone comes across your reel and they go oh this is interesting let me check out jaira’s page and then they arrive and every single cover photo is just an image they have absolutely no idea what each piece of content is about and we’re in this state age where it’s quick I need to consume I need to know fast and if they don’t
(45:35) know they’re going to swipe away and I’ve lost that potential Community member client Etc if you have a text overlay let’s just say not on every it doesn’t have to be everyone but most of your cover photos that either acts as a headline or you can really think about it as a hook into that piece of content it’s going to entice people to click and to consume that content so cover photos play an incredibly important role I think in new followers and and building your community do you recommend
(46:05) that they we sample a piece of the actual video or do you typically take separate pictures and just create something unique like a lot of YouTubers tend to do I go both ways so I have really from my content creator days when I was like full content creator mode before 2020 when I really wanted my feed to be beautiful and now I’ve like thrown that out the window and I don’t I don’t really care anymore it’s I mean invite anyone to take a look at my feed Now versus like pre-20 days very very different energy and feel but sometimes I want a little pop of color or I
(46:42) want you know I’ve had all these screenshots of me mid-sentence with my mouth open and text overlay and I’m like let me just grab one of my nice photos and kind of sprinkle that into my feed so I think you can go one of both ways either grabbing that screenshot and adding that text on top and it’s sort of a low-tech fast easy way to create your cover photos or you can also go the route of grabbing a different photo if you so choose and you can do both like I do as well let’s talk about your preferred apps for doing
(47:11) um editing so as I mentioned I have my background in my early days sitting on my mom’s lap and she’s editing on professional software and that’s how I learned to edit I think originally on Final Cut Pro I learned Premiere Pro I’m back on Final Cut Pro now so that those are my editing Origins however when it comes to short form video content I do everything on my phone and my app of choice these days is cap cut that is what I edit most of my I say 90 of my videos on sometimes when
(47:42) I’m doing like a fancy transition where I need keyframes and layer mask which is very Advanced most people do not ever need to know that or do that then I will use video leap which has those capabilities as well but most of the time I’m on cap cut Jara this has been absolutely did you say video being as being is that what you said no video bean I like I hope it all never multitask like I’m trying to do what was that what was that last cap cut and what was the other one oh oh you it sounds close video leap l-e-a
(48:16) -e-a it’s a big leap for me to go from video leap to video beam but we’ll take it and we’ll keep this thing we’re being authentic here Jara um this has been phenomenal if people want to discover more about you where do you want to send them you can find me of course on social media Jara Bean but there’s a dot in there so it’s jared.
(48:39) bean on both Instagram and Tick Tock it’s jerabin just straight through.com for my website and I have my new course launching soon my video editing course it’s called the video editing rodeo and if you want access to that wait list if you want some freebies as well I have a special link for everyone listening today that’s jerabeen.
(48:58) com SME and you can access those freebies and get that info for the video editing waitlist as well chair Bean thank you so much for sharing all your insights with us today we’re so much better because of it oh thank you thanks for having me I appreciate it

1. Planning

Define Your Objective

Determine what you want to achieve with the video. Is it to educate, entertain, or promote a product?

Identify Your Audience

Understand who your audience is and what they are interested in.

Choose the Pillar

Decide which of the three pillars (Expertise, Secret Sauce, or Business) your video will fall under.

Brainstorm Content Ideas

Use your chosen pillar to brainstorm specific content ideas.

Example

If you are a fitness coach, under the Expertise Pillar, you might plan a video on “3 Quick Exercises for Busy Professionals”.

2. Scripting

Outline Key Points

Jot down the main points or steps you want to cover in the video.

Keep it Concise

Remember, short-form videos should be quick and to the point.

Add a Call-to-Action

If applicable, include a call-to-action at the end of your video.

Example

For the fitness video, your script might include a greeting, a quick intro to the exercises, demonstrations of each exercise, and a closing call-to-action encouraging viewers to check out your coaching services.

3. Recording

Use a Smartphone

You don’t need fancy equipment; a smartphone will suffice.

Ensure Good Lighting

Make sure the area is well-lit, preferably with natural light.

Stabilize Your Camera

Use a tripod or steady surface to avoid shaky footage.

Be Authentic

Show your genuine personality and be relatable.

Example

Record yourself demonstrating the three exercises, ensuring good lighting and a stable camera setup.

4. Editing

Keep it Simple

Use basic editing tools; you don’t need to be a professional editor.

Trim Unnecessary Parts

Cut out any mistakes or unnecessary parts to keep the video concise.

Add Text or Graphics

If needed, add text or graphics to emphasize key points.

Ensure Clear Audio

Make sure your audio is clear and easy to understand.

Example

Edit the fitness video to smoothly transition between exercises, add text labels for each exercise, and ensure the audio is clear.

5. Captioning

Add Captions

Include captions to make your video accessible to a wider audience.

Keep Captions Concise

Ensure captions are short and to the point, mirroring your spoken words.

Use a Captioning Tool

Utilize tools or apps that can help generate captions for your video.

Example

Add captions to the fitness video, ensuring they accurately reflect the instructions for each exercise.

6. Posting

Choose the Right Platform

Decide whether you are posting on Instagram Reels, TikTok, or another platform.

Optimize Your Caption

Write a compelling caption that encourages engagement.

Use Relevant Hashtags

Include relevant hashtags to increase the visibility of your video.

Engage with Your Audience

Respond to comments and engage with your audience after posting.

Analyze and Learn

After posting, analyze the performance of your video and take note of what worked and what can be improved for next time.

Example

Post the fitness video on Instagram Reels with a caption like “Quick 5-minute workout for all my busy professionals out there! #Fitness #Workout #QuickExercises”, and engage with any comments or questions from your audience.

Introduction to Midjourney

Midjourney is a revolutionary tool in the realm of artificial intelligence, reshaping the boundaries of creative expression. By harnessing the power of AI, Midjourney allows users to generate stunning, unique visual content from simple prompts. It’s a perfect blend of art and technology, where the user’s imagination is the only limit.

The following is a list of parameters that can be used in MidJourney prompts. These parameters are like the secret ingredients in a recipe that allow you to customize and fine-tune the output to your specific taste. They give you the flexibility to guide the AI, to mold the result according to your unique vision. Whether you want to adjust the aspect ratio, the quality, the style, or explore the boundaries of unusual aesthetics, these parameters are your tools. Mastering these can help you unlock the full potential of MidJourney and create truly unique and stunning visuals. So, let’s delve into these parameters, understand what they do, and how they can be used.

Parameter Quick Reference

Aspect Ratios (–aspect, –ar)

Chaos (–chaos)

Fast (–fast)

Image Weight (–iw)

No (–no)

Quality (–quality or –q)

Relax (–relax)

Repeat (–repeat or –r)

Seed (–seed)

Stop (–stop)

Style (–style)

Stylize (–stylize or –s)

Tile (–tile)

Turbo (–Turbo)

Weird (–Weird)

Niji (–niji)

Version (–version or –v)

Aspect Ratios (–aspect, –ar)

--aspect, --ar

This parameter allows you to change the aspect ratio of your generated image, providing flexibility to fit different formats and platforms.

Chaos (–chaos)

--chaos <number 0–100>

Want to add a touch of unpredictability to your creations? The –chaos parameter changes how varied the results will be, with higher values producing more unusual and unexpected generations.

Fast (–fast)

--fast

In a hurry? The –fast setting overrides your current setting and runs a single job using Fast Mode, speeding up the creation process.

Image Weight (–iw)

--iw <0–2>

This parameter sets the image prompt weight relative to text weight, providing a balance between visual and textual input. The default value is 1.

No (–no)

--no

This is used for negative prompting. For instance, –no plants would try to remove plants from the image, giving you more control over the content of your image.

Quality (–quality or –q)

--quality <.25, .5, or 1> or --q <.25, .5, or 1>

This parameter determines how much rendering quality time you want to spend. Higher values use more GPU minutes but yield better quality, while lower values use less but may compromise on detail.

Relax (–relax)

--relax

Want to slow things down a bit? The –relax setting overrides your current setting and runs a single job using Relax Mode, taking more time to generate the image but potentially leading to higher quality results.

Repeat (–repeat or –r)

--repeat <1–40> or --r <1–40>

Want to create multiple jobs from a single prompt? –repeat is useful for quickly rerunning a job multiple times, allowing you to explore a range of outcomes from the same initial prompt.

Seed (–seed)

--seed <integer between 0–4294967295>

This parameter allows you to specify a seed number, which Midjourney uses as a starting point to generate the initial image grids. Using the same seed number and prompt will produce similar ending images, providing a way to reproduce similar results with different tweaks.

Stop (–stop)

--stop <integer between 10–100>

This parameter allows you to finish a job partway through the process. Stopping a job at an earlier percentage can create blurrier, less detailed results, offering another way to control the aesthetic of your output.

Style (–style)

--style <raw>, --style <4a, 4b, or 4c>, --style <cute, expressive, original, or scenic>

This parameter allows you to switch between different versions of the Midjourney or Niji Model, each with its unique aesthetic characteristics.

Stylize (–stylize or –s)

--stylize <number> or --s <number>

This parameter influences how strongly Midjourney’s default aesthetic style is applied to jobs, allowing you to control the balance between your input and Midjourney’s own style.

Tile (–tile)

--tile

Want to create repeating patterns? The –tile parameter generates images that can be used as repeating tiles, perfect for creating seamless patterns.

Turbo (–Turbo)

--Turbo

Need speed? The –Turbo setting overrides your current setting and runs a single job using Turbo Mode, providing faster results.

Weird (–Weird)

--Weird <number 0–3000>

Feeling experimental? The –weird parameter allows you to explore unusual aesthetics, pushing the boundaries of your creations into the realm of the unexpected.

Niji (–niji)

--niji

For fans of anime-style images, the –niji parameter switches to an alternative model focused on generating anime-style images.

Version (–version or –v)

--version <1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5.1, or 5.2> or --v <1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5.1, or 5.2>

Last but not least, this parameter allows you to use a different version of the Midjourney algorithm, giving you the flexibility to use the version that best suits your creative needs.
